Rating: Summary: Awesome Book! Review: I enjoyed this book so much.. it was my second Fern Michaels book, my first being the guest list. I really loved Finder's Keepers and I am on a mission to read every single one of her books. She is great! I hope there will be a conclusion to Finder's Keepers so we know what happened to Jessie later in life!
Rating: Summary: I liked the plot, hated the ending... it needs closure! Review: This is my first Fern Michaels book, and I did enjoy it... really. As a matter of fact, I found it hard to put down. Which is probably why I was so disappointed with the ending. I can only hope that Ms. Michaels wrote it with a sequel in mind. I found some of the plot a tad bit implausible, but this is fiction...right? I did enjoy the friendship between Jessie and Sophie... that is so rare in romantic novels. I was a little creeped out by some of the parental behavior...on both the natural and unnatural parents' parts. The dialogue was stilted and trite in certain places, but Ms. Michaels more than made up for it in others. All in all, I would recommend the book... just read it knowing that it might leave you feeling like the printer accidentally left out the last two or three chapters of your copy.
Rating: Summary: Simply wonderful even if read through special format Review: I am a great fan of Fern Michaels for she writes my kind of books--filled with love, adventure, challenge and loveable dogs! In FINDERS KEEPERS, all of the above are blended with skill, deep feeling, understanding and charm. I must read books recorded on 4-track tapes produced by the Library of Congress for visually impaired people. I am sure the edition used was unabridged.
Rating: Summary: This is a book to love and treasure! Review: How could anyone not love this book? It had everything, drama, love, true friendship excitement and best of all, a dog that was every bit as wonderful as the main characters. A wonderful book!
Rating: Summary: Unable to put down.,but dissappointing ending! Review: I liked the book, could not put it down. HOWEVER, I thought the writer made some personality changes on her characters. First, the main character's first love was great in the beginning, I loved the teasing banter between them. Then, all of a sudden the author changed her tone on their communication. Very dissappointed in the ending, not having her love follow her to Africa. I thought she really liked the guy at the end and then he just drops off. Oh well, I will continue to read.
Rating: Summary: not possible, but the possibilities are endless Review: I've read numerous Fern Michaels books. She seems to give her characters awesome struggles and allows them to come out way on top. In real life it would give us all real incentive if the end results to our situations were anywhere near these characters. This book is definitely a page turner & can't put-it-down story.
Rating: Summary: real life roller coaster ride Review: I just loved this book I read it in one day. I found myself totally enthralled and couldn't put it down for a second. I love the strength, love and mischievousness that Fern Michaels puts into the characters in this book. I know she had fun writing it, although probably not as much as her readers are having reading it. I think everyone else would love to see a sequel to this book. I have read some series books by Fern Michaels, and she really knows how to keep you ineterested. There isn't a book that I haven't read by her that I didn't end up on an emotional roller coaster. If you read this book and you don't end up crying, laughing, and wanting to punch someone out then something's wrong with you.
Rating: Summary: Wonderful Review: I thought this book was wonderful, it had a little mystery and kept you turning the pages.
Rating: Summary: Superb Story! Review: How could anyone not love this book? I've read some of the reviews and found them so weird I'm not sure they read the same book I did. Perhaps they did but not with intensity. The characters were so real, so in your face it was hard not to get hooked from the first page. There were some I loved and some I hated. That's what makes a book a good book. And the dog . . . well just let me tell you, I cried my eyes out. I recommended this book to over a dozen people and they all had the same reaction I did. A great story by a talented author.
Rating: Summary: Good plot, but disappointing conclusion. Review: After waiting a year to find this book in paperback version, I could hardly wait to get started on it - stayed up Friday 'til Sat morning to read it. The plot was excellent, but handling of the story was not up to Michael's usual expertise. After the extended crescendo of the plot, the conclusion was handled inconsequentially. Indication was that much time had been spent on the plot but that the ending was not well thought out and perhaps rushed to meet a deadline. Could have been much better. Very disappointing.
