Summary: I Loved This Book!
Review: I enjoyed this book so much, especially after having read several books by current, popular authors that were just "fair". This was my first book by Fern Michaels. I read it in a few days and was always eager to get back to it when I had to put it down. The author writes very believable characters. Who doesn't cringe when Tanner's mother enters the story. And wouldn't you love a friend like Luke? I thought the friendship of Jessie and Sophie was lovely, but I often wanted Jessie to not be so dependent on Sophie and do some thinking for herself! The only thing that really disappointed me about the book was the ending. Not that I want to always know the outcome of a book halfway thru, but this ending seemed so abrupt and left you hanging! A lot of unanswered questions. I hope there will be a sequel. I'd like to know more about Jessie, her child and family. Even with the disappointed ending, this was a good book that held your interest. I will definately recommend this book to others.

Summary: Living the gamut of emotions
Review: I was able to read this book prior to release and was completely engrossed from start to finish. The realism that comes thru gave me goose bumps, tears and laughter. Could easily understand Thea smothering her "child" and her denial in knowing how wrong her action was. Loved that Barnes had a conscience. Jessie was intreging as she matured and I loved her determination to find out who she really was and to find her biological parents. Fern Michaels has written a deeply moving story.Reommend it as a 10.

Summary: SHOCKER
Review: This book was so interesting from the beginning and sad from the start. It has a terrific story line and slyly plotted. While your reading this you'll feel sadness along with happiness. Definitely a novel with a lot of mixed emotions and an excellent must buy must read !!

Summary: Another Winner for Fern Michaels!
Review: The story was about a little girl, Jessie, who was kidnapped while asleep in her stroller. Her golden retriever dog, Jelly, was watching her as she slept. She has no recollection of the kidnapping. As she gets older, she begins to recall the name "Jelly" (the dog's name). As she grows up her parents don't allow her any friends. She does have one friend, Sophie, who feels unloved just like Jessie does. The story takes you through Jessie breaking away from her controlling parents; marrying a man, Tanner, for all the wrong reasons; and her and Sophie's strange and bizarre friendship. In the end all of the pieces of Jessie's life fall into place and she finally finds her real family. Her natural parents never gave up that she would come home. I thought the story line was captivating and it held my interest right through to the end. The ending, however, left me scratching my head. I wonder, is there a sequel forthcoming to tell us what happened after Tanner read the letter? Did Luke get tired of his ranch and search out Jessie and her child? What happened with Jessie's new found family? I guess the only one who knows the answers to those questions is Fern herself. Another 5 Star Winner for Fern. She's great and so was this book!

Summary: First Class Read
Review: I ordered this book online and I read it yesterday when it arrived; from start to finish. I've read books that stirred every one of my emotions but none like this one did. I wanted to kill Jessie's mother, the one who stole her. I wanted to swat her gutless father, the one who helped steal her. I cried over Sophie and I wailed and moaned over Jelly. Now, that's a first class read in my opinion. Good work, Fern Michaels.

A long time forever and ever fan.

Summary: depressing
Review: I hated it, It was a fast read but too many plot changes. I never really got to know the characters. It made me depressed that Jessie never found love, its supposed to be a romance novel right????

Summary: not what i would have expected
Review: I am normally an avid fan of fern michaels work but this book was a disappointment!! i felt like there was not enough insight into jessie roland's life as a child when being raised by her kidnapper parents and that also it tended to ramble on at times! There are some parts of the book that i enjoyed but this will not be a book i would choose to read again!

Summary: Please read C.A. Strickland's Review!!!
Review: I don't know her/him, but that review was right on target! This was a story with so many plot twists thrown in that the author might just as well as thrown the kitchen sink in, too. The characters' personalities underwent such a change during the course of the story as to be totally unbelievable. It became tiring, rather than interesting, trying to keep up with what was going on. The ending just left me scratching my head - it was so rushed and out of left field, and so obviously a set-up for a sequel.

I got the impression reading this book that the author was hoping that it would be made into a mini-series on TV - it had every possible hook thrown in.

This was the first book that I read by Ms. Michaels, and it was a total waste of my time. I don't think that I'll be reading another of hers for a long time.

Summary: Simply Stunning
Review: I really enjoyed this book. That's all I can say. This is my first Fern Michaels book, and actually it is the cover that attracted me to it in the first place. Michaels really makes you understand the characters feelings. I felt as if I was there, getting to know Sophie. I could fully understand Jessie's feelings towards her mother, but I could also understand how the mother felt, and 'so-to-speak' sympathize with her. Michaels handles emotions excellently. I had wished the ending was different, but if it was maybe it wouldn't be so good. It was definitely NOT predictable, you know, I expected Jessie and Luke to 'live happily ever after'- TOGETHER :) This book was superp. I fully intend to search out more of these books. Anyone who really liked this, I am SURE would like the book PRETENSE by Lori Wick. (Christian fiction)
