Rating: Summary: Ruby Lee Ruby Lee Review: I have never in my life wanted a man to hit a women, but I truly did in this book. Ruby Lee needed to be put in her place. This book had me on the edge of my seat.
Rating: Summary: HITING HOME Review: This story really hit home. I know what it's like to live in a house with a bunch of people you wish would disappear. I really felt where Richard was coming from. I can't wait until Earl Sewell writes again.
Rating: Summary: An Excellent and Refreshing Read about Life and Love Review: Taken for Granted demanded my attention from the minute I picked it up. It was refreshing to read about love, family, and starting anew with a fresh outlook on life. I felt emerged in this book as if I knew the characters and knew what they were thinking and experiencing especially since I was able to visualize each and every scene as if I was really there. This book shows how talented Earl is and how he can make his imagination and dreams come to life. I really enjoyed this book and am anticipating the excitement of reading his next book. Earl, congratulations on writing such a wonderful book.
Rating: Summary: The Ghetto Family From Hell! Review: This book is a quick read; in fact, I read it in a day. Rubylee is the mother from HELL! Richard has no idea what type of family he has married into until it's too late - they use & abuse him on a daily basis (stand up & be a real man Richard)!!! Nina's husband is just the opposite - controlling & mentally abusive. Despite the tragic ending for some of the character (don't get me wrong - Rubylee deserved it), I was glad to see Nina & Richard come full circle.
Rating: Summary: Taken for Granted is "all that" and more! Review: Fast-paced, powerful story about all of the twists and turns of modern-day relationships. Readers, you will definitely enjoy it!
Rating: Summary: I LOVE THIS BOOK...IT'S WONDERFUL...I WANT TO READ IT AGAIN! Review: I just finished reading 'Taken For Granted' and it was wonderful. The story line was so fresh and different. There is a beautiful love story brewing in the mist of all the turmoil. I literally could not put the book down. If you take this book to the beach be sure to use extra sunscreen because you will want to stay out there until you finish. All I can say is...when is the next flight to the Bahamas 'cause I need to find my Richard. KUDOS TO MR. SEWELL FOR AN EXCELLENT BOOK!
Rating: Summary: great reading Review: I read this book in one sitting. I could not put it down. The novel is excellent and true to life. I guess the objective of any good book, is to see yourself in the characters. And that I did. I'll admit I shed more tears than joyous laughter. In any case, I really, really, really like this book. It is an eye opener. And once you've read this novel, you will never forget it! Character development is great. The flow and timing is near perfect. And the conclusion make's you hunger for the next book. Mr.Sewell, keep writing them and i'll keep reading them. Highly recommended.
