Summary: It was extremely touching
Review: Anyone who likes reading about human relationships and about love in particular should read this book. This is the only book whose characters stayed with me for days. Especially Lucas John and the love Kezia had for him. To give up all your riches, to see beyond a person's social status, to know him like he is from the inside...that's the power of love.

Summary: My Name Is Kezia
Review: Hello,

My name is Kezia and I purchased this book because it had my name in it. Although I have read Steel before, I decided to read it again. Kezia is not a weird name because it fails to pass the Eurocentric common names like Mary or Joe or Jack or Linda. NO, it is a Hebrew name. Look it up some time. It is in Job 42:14 and it means 'sweet smelling cinnamon bark and BEAUTIFUL daughter of Job.'

Summary: D. Steele is so exciting and romantic, yet down-to-earth!
Review: I just love Danielle Steele. I'm working on reading every one of her books. Every book of hers that I see I buy! In Passion's Promise, she writes about a women that grew up with a rich and tramatic lifestyle. She writes how hard it was, everyone always thinks it's so glamorous. The ending is such a surprise. The book reads so fast! It's unpredictable. Danielle Steele can write! It is my dream to meet her. Every book that I've read of hers has been excellant. I have nothing bad to say about any of them. She's the most creative and interesting writer. I hate reading, except Danielle Steele books.

Summary: Not up to Steel's potential
Review: I never read anything but Danielle Steel and I was quite dissapointed by this one. It's actually quite boring. Not recommended at all.

Summary: Starts out Slow, Finishes with a bang
Review: I really thought throughout the first 70 pages that I was going to give up on this book, just put it down and forget about it. The style DS uses during writing this book is quite different from many of her other novels. The style reminded me of Anne Rice during Exit to Eden. There was a lot to the book, many thoughts, and runnings of the mind; you could call it a big mood swing. I didn't care about Kezia or the other characters at all until about halfway through the book. Then, it turned into something interesting. Passions Promise should have probably been titled "Kezia's Emotional Roller Coaster." The thing that makes you read on is out of curiousity wondering if this crazy chick is going to get it together in time to rip out another heart. The ending is not so great that it makes the boring first chapters worthwhile but it's good casual reading for the die-hard DS fan.

Summary: Passion's Promise by Danielle Steel
Review: My mother always loved Danielle Steel and she collected as many of her books as she could find throughout her life. She died several years ago and I still have a lot of her stuff. I really like to read and I came across the box of her Danielle Steel books. I've read a few books out of the box over the past few months and Passion's Promise was the latest. I was very disappointed. I really enjoyed the other books I've read so far but I didn't like this one very much. I don't think Danielle Steel spent much time brainstorming and planning the book. She spends a good length introducing Kezia. Then she spends another good length of time talking about Kezia and her love affair with Luke. Then you're almost done with the book and the end is shoved into like 20 pages. I was not satisfied with the ending. It seemed like she spent all this time setting up the rhythm of the book and then suddenly stopping it at the end.

Summary: I deplore use of objectionable language
Review: The plot is just passable although very repetitious. The languge is filthy, not at all like her other novels. It was obviously written by someone else and not even edited by Steele. She has been my favorite author for many years but she is no longer if she puts hername on such filthe.

Summary: Classic book
Review: This is another classic danielle steel book. If you don't like that period of writing for her...the 80's, early 90's...you might not like this book. I, however, love her earlier works & think there is NO comparison. This is such an interesting story, and it's a story that takes you places, twists & turns & when it's done, you want more. Someone mentioned the name Kezia was a strange name, well, early DS books are like that. They have fantastic plots, names, stories...it is what makes it a DS book. worth the read!
