Summary: Another great Siddons book
Review: This is a great book. It is not what I expected but equally as wonderful as I expected. You can relate to all characters and know someone like each one. Surprise twists everywhere

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: A masterpiece that grabs you and won't let go!
Review: This is the first Anne Rivers Siddons book I had read and in my opinion, it is the best one yet! The growth and eventual dissolvment of the girls friendships is great. You really can connect to all the characters. The way Kate is used by the ones she loved is very moving. I have read other books by Siddons and this one is by far my favorite yet. "Up Island" was quite good also.

Summary: Very Entertaining
Review: This is the first Siddons novel I have read. I found the characters very well drawn and the story line gripping. The premise of reuniting 4 college sorority sisters after 28 years promises a good story and Siddons delivers this. I really enjoyed it.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Great book - many personal parallels for everyone.
Review: This was a good book -- easy to read (I read it in a day). The unique thing about it is that throughout the plot, personal parallels can be found. Very few people can spin a story the way Siddons does, and it is captivating throughout

Summary: Do you love the Outer Banks?
Review: We have romance, suspense, and some interesting characters in this novel. This is the first Anne Rivers Siddons book I have read (actually, I should say, listened to). Perhaps, initially, I felt it was a bit too maudlin, what with all the intertwined sad events occuring to the main characters. Siddons, however, has a tremendous talent towards intertwining characters with page turning plot. Maybe a little too Stephen Kingish at the end but who would have thought it?? Get the book and read it

Summary: Disappointingly broke my heart. Made me care about nothing.
Review: When I started the book, I had such high hopes about being absorbed into the life of Kate Lee. I sympathized with her, cared for her, and supported her until the end. I felt completely betrayed. Disappointment ran through my veins (in the words of Anne River Siddons.) Her affair with her old boyfriend was not in her character. I thought she was a much stronger woman than that. Telling him she had Aids was in poor, poor taste. I hoped for more from her. I wanted her to have more substance than she exhibited. That whole scenario about Fig Newton was interesting, but killing herself was incongruous with the book. I feel as though Ms. Siddons gave up on the novel. She had such a strong beginning and then pissed away the ending. I wished I hadn't cared so much. I feel betrayed and disappointed.
