Rating: Summary: Unpredictable Review: I enjoyed the book very much. It did take some patience getting to the plot. Incidents that occured did not always turn out the way I wanted them to and sometimes they did. I am recommending the book for sure to those who like Danielle Steel. Others will enjoy the book also if you love romance novels.
Rating: Summary: Great Book! Review: This is a GREAT book! I haven't read a really good one in quite awhile. I'm a BIG fan of Danielle Steel. I read all of her books, no matter what. Once I started reading Lone Eagle, I couldn't put my book down, I had to finish it. I finished the book in 3 days! I'm passing this book to my mom.
Rating: Summary: "Lone Eagle" by Danielle Steel Review: All right, I'll rate this three stars but only because I could relate to Joe, the hero. Everyone is different but when it comes to a relationship, people must work at it together and not try to run away from their responsibility of loving someone. When I was reading one of the many confrontations between Katie and Joe, I got sick of how Joe just couldn't fully commit to the love of his life. There are many people who are like birds, wanting to take flight and be free, but Joe was almost so unrealistic, I thought that he actually was a bird and not the human being Danielle Steel claimed him to be. I could understand the idea of Danielle because she stated in so many words how a relationship doesn't guarantee that a person's miseries will come to an end and that happiness will never elude them again but Katie, however fictional she was, pointed out that there is more to life than materialistic wants. Please, try to read this book because it was all right, not as exciting but sweet and understanding. Also, read any book by Nora Roberts, Judith McNaught, and Julie Garwood.
Rating: Summary: Lone Eagle Review: I TOTALLY enjoyed this book. I started and then couldnt put it down. If you loved Granny Dan this is a close second. You feel Kate's pain and anticipation.
Rating: Summary: Loved it ! Review: I've read all of the Danielle Steel books, and this was the first one in a long time that I just couldn't put down. Yes, Kate made some bad choices, but that doesn't make it a bad book.
Rating: Summary: same old, same old Review: This is one of those stories where you just can't take it anymore! Danielle Steel has the tendency to repeat little things in her stories, but in here, she overdoes it, and it became a headache for me -- took me two weeks just to read. Anyway, I gave it three stories because the story itself was excellent -- yes, I know she's formulaic, but I like her stories. I hope THE KISS will be like JOURNEY or LEAP OF FAITH.
Rating: Summary: disappointing Review: Lone Eagle was a very disappointing book. I consider myself a big Danielle Steel fan (I have all of her books and have read most more than once)and it pains me to give this book such a low rating.Kate, the main character, seems spineless. She's seventeen when she first meets Joe, the "hero pilot" of the book. He is quite a bit older than her, being almost thirty. Kate's father dies when she's young but other than that it seems she's led a pretty sheltered life. Joe, who lost both parents at an early age, seems to be a real jerk from the beginning. It is apparent early on that he will never love her as much as his planes and flying. It seems to me that the same things were stated over and over again throughout the book. Joe doesn't want to be tied down, Kate is afraid of being abandoned. Over and over again. I'm beginning to think Ms. Steel is running out of material to write about. I had a hard time getting into this book. And I became so mad with Kate at one point that I almost slammed the book shut and quit reading. But I went ahead and finished the book to see what would happen. In my opinion Andy was too good for Kate. She didn't know a good, solid thing when she seen it. Andy was by far my favorite character in the book. I couldn't stand Joe and his can't-commit ways. Kate was not high on my list either because of her actions. How many years would a real woman put up with Joe's crap? Not very many. And yet Kate just kept letting him use her. I am thoroughtly frustrated with this book. It has literally given me a headache. Hopefully Ms. Steel will come up with better storylines and characters in the future (I've read Leap of Faith which is MUCH BETTER!!!) and create some strong women that can stand alone and not be dependent on some jerk of a guy.
Rating: Summary: Dumb Drivel Review: My sister warned me when I was into the book about 25 pages that by the end of it I would hate these characters. Truer words were never spoken! I hate to say it but I think Danielle is getting senile. She repeats herself CONSTANTLY. All through the book she describes these people over and over again ad nauseum. I bet these tired descriptions take up half the book. Surely she doesn't need the money that badly that she's cranking out this drivel. Telling the ending at the beginning was a huge mistake. After that, you basically knew what was going to happen. I used to read her books from cover to cover but this one, I'm basically just trying to get through it.
Rating: Summary: Disappointing Review: I was so disappointed in this book. I have read all of danielle steel's books. I feel like she is just cranking out the books. The ending was blah... I could of cared less what happened to these two characters. She protrayed the main character as a whinny woman who has nothing to do but wait around for her man to come home to her.. A normal women would tell this man to take a hike a long time ago.. This isn't true love it is co-dependancy. I'm also sick of women who easily fall into bed because the man shows up on the doorstep saying "honey i'm home"...
Rating: Summary: Excellent Review: Danielle did it again. Great story! I love all her books except "The Klone". The characters in "Loan Eagle" were great and the reader was excellent. Can't waite for the next book!
