Summary: This book was a little confusing....
Review: The love story in this book was very good to read but I didn't get the fact that this guy couldn't commit. She waited for so long for him and he never came. Then when he thought he could be a man and marry her he chickens out and starts up on this man self pity putting business before family. I think that the girl should have never cheated on her husband who was perfect and so very good to her. But yet again, if she didn't realize that and cheated on him with a good for nothing self absorbed man, she didn't deserve him. I really didn't get the end either. She totally changed her image and just took [everything] from this guy. It really wasn't like a real marraige. This book started out good but ended up [bad]. Not my favorite from the Steel collection.

Summary: More of the same
Review: I have read almost EVERY DS novel and I love her but this book is boring and the character is dull. And the word that kept poping in my head while I read this book was... Wings. Same story, same historical period, different gender. What a disappointment.

Summary: Very Romantic
Review: I picked this book up on a fluke and couldn't put it down the minute I started reading it. I was immediately [pulled] into this wonderful/romantic love story. The plot was easy to follow and the characters were just as easy to fall in love with.

A perfect read while you sit by the pool this summer soaking up the sun!

Summary: Kate, please get it in your head he's no good for you
Review: I was very disappointed in this book. I thought that Kate finally got over Joe when she married that other guy who really loved her. Then Joe came back into her life and filled her full of lies so she divoriced her husband. Joe's character made me hate him. I kept hoping that Kate would finally leave him. I wanted to toss the book, but I had to see if Kate would leave him. I don't think anyone should put up with such abuse from a man. He didn't wan't her baby, he never wanted to be home, he really never wanted Kate. Joe just used her through out the book.

Summary: What a disappointment!!!
Review: I wanted to read this book because 1)it's a period book (WW2) 2)Danielle Steele wrote it. I agree with most of the previous reviews regarding the repetition of Kate going back to Joe even though he breaks her heart. I kept thinking "surely she will wake up and move on" and that kept me reading, wondering how she would get over Joe for good. I was disappointed in the end to see she never really did get over him. I have loved Danielle Steele's books in the past, easy reading yet can't put down. This one I wish I had put down for good about half way through!

Summary: Classic Danielle Steel!!
Review: The characters were so "real"...they lingered with me for days after I completed this book. Danielle Steel fans will not be disappointed.

Summary: WAY too much"break-up, make-up"
Review: I hadn't read a Danielle Steele novel in a few years but decided to give this one a try since I am always interested in the 1940's time period - as well as romances set around WWII. I won't be reading another of hers anytime soon. It seemed like the plot was stuck in one place and didnt EVER go anywhere. Throughout the entire book, it was "Kate loves Joe, Joe is no good for Kate but he loves her too... fate keeps bringing them together, they break up.... back together - even though he is still bad for her...." on and on. Frankly I was disappointed. Guess I'll stick with some other authors who can actually write a story that has more than one theme.

Summary: Over and Over and Over
Review: I agree totally with the fan from Saco ME. She just kept drumming the same thoughts into our heads over and over and over and......

Rating: 3 stars
Summary: It was OK
Review: This wasn't as boring as some of her other novels. After the first 3 chapters the story picks up a little. However, I will say that I did not like the character Joe at all, and thought Kate was stupid to keep going back to him. She would have been much better off with Andy.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: it was not as bad as others say!
Review: I dont know whats wrong with all the other people that read this book but i really enjoyed it. Yes, threw out the book it kind of gets on your nerves that Joe can't commit. But I think that DS made it clear that he really wasnt that bad of a guy! he didnt intentionaly try to keep hurting Kate. If any of you out their have ever exsperienced a love in your life that you simply couldnt get away from, no matter how hard you tried. You will appriciate this book for what it really is and love it the way i did.
