Rating: Summary: The Gift of love is the best gift you can receive! Review: Danielle Steel's "THE GIFT" is a incredible romance. The way Ms. Steel expresses all the emotion and what everyone's feels is what makes this book so great. It's the kind of romance that everyone wishes for: loving, caring and understanding under all circumstances. It's trully a great read!! I'd recomened it to everyone who loves love stories and is a romance fool like me.
Rating: Summary: the simplicity of the story would tug upon your heart. Review: The book is about the most basic longing of nearly every individual--the need to love & be loved. I find it very simple and yet realistic. The values and moral lesson of the story isn't lost here between the pages. The fact that Maribeth stood up right after her mistake is remarkable, but what Tommy did (stood by her through it all)is even more amazing. A story about love, trust, betrayal, hope..and eventually loving again...
Rating: Summary: Must reading for today's teenagers and for parents of teens! Review: A powerful look inside the heart and mind of a young unwed mother. The emotional impact of the book causes its messages to be retained. This should be required junior high and high school reading. It should be on every parent's "must read" list. Makes for great family discussion at the dinner table.
Rating: Summary: Tears, Tears, Tears Review: Tears of saddness in the begining. Tears of joy in the end. This is a wonderful book. Maribeth and Tommy, what a pair. The loss of Tommy's sibling, to the joy of a new sibling. The joy of Maribeth not having to worry about the life in her no longer not being safe. This is a must read! I am still telling people to read this book. That it will truly be a gift to your mind. I loved it!!!
Rating: Summary: Couldn't Put it Down Review: I couldn't imagine my family sending me away if I got pregnant. I guess growing up in the 90's is alot different from back then. This is a book about a teen that has to face living alone with a baby on the way. She meets a guy whose family has just lost a loved one. She helps to bring them together again with the gift of life, her childs life.
Rating: Summary: The tears will fall every time you read. Review: Having grown up with a father who would have died had I become pregnant in high school, I could really relate to Maribeth. This book was extremely difficult for me to read due to my falling tears. I was crying by the second chapter and after that I do not believe there was a dry chapter. After reading the book, I attempted to listen to it in the car while driving on a long trip. I finally ended up pulling over and crying on the side of the road. I know passersby thought I was crazy, but the story is so heart-wrenching I couldn't bear to simply stop listening. To be so short, this book packs the emotion of a full-length novel. Excellent work of art
Rating: Summary: Heart Stoping,Tear Jerker that'll make you appreciate family Review: This was the most captivating book by Steel yet. The story of a girl that leaves a special gift with a family and changes their liver forever. Surprise ending that shocks all !! One of the few you will read over and over again !
