Review: Meghaan Richard Mrs. Smith English III- 5th May 13, 2001 Book Review The book I chose to read for my free reading project is a book called Scruples by Judith Krantz. It is a romantic novel with a thick plot. It is about a young girl who is poor but grows up to be one of the richest women in New York. Her name is Willimeanor Winthrop, which was changed to Billy Winthrop when she went to Paris. Billy is the sheep of a very wealthy family. While living in Paris she fell in love with the wrong man, who had heard of the Winthrop name and was going to marry her because of her alleged wealth. She finally realized what he was after and left Paris immediately. She moved back to New York and applied for a secretary's job at a huge company owned by Ellis Ikehorn. She received a job as one of Ellis Ikehorn's personal secretary's. She found herself falling in love again, with her boss. This book also has a few other important characters such as Spider Elliot, A struggling photographer who could get any woman he wanted and, Valentine O'Neill, a struggling fashion designer who could get any man she wanted. And somehow they all seemed to meet. This book was heartwarming and inspiring. I would read it a million times.

Review: My friend and I have so much fun with the title of the book! We randomly call out SCRUPLES! and then we giggle till we think we're gonna go bonkers. Anyway, the book is groovy, the Scruples scenes (sex scenes) are a bit graphic, but I guess some people like that sort of stuff. Anyway, happy Scrupling!

Review: One of the worst books I ever read, vapid and trite and stupid!

Summary: Takes you by surprise
Review: This book really surprised me. The first half of the book had so many surprises. It was great, shocking. The second half was also good, but a little more down to earth. We really got to know the characters a little bit beyond their idiosyncrasies & bad attitudes.
I'm starting on book 2 now. This was a fun read.
