Rating: 5 stars
Summary: very moving,
Review: This book will make you appreciate your small town living. I enjoyed it so much, that when I was reading it during break at work, I was late. I would definitely read it again, and did recommend it to my co-workers.

Rating: 3 stars
Summary: Good..but Predictable
Review: I usually read everything I can find by Ms. Delinsky. She very rarely disappoints. While I enjoyed the book, I was halfway thru and knew how it would end, the results of the heroines search for her mother, etc. etc. I agree with other readers about the ending. Kinda a downer. Took a star off the rating for that! Not Barbara Delinsky's best, but still a good read.

Summary: A truly moving story!
Review: I am not a Delinsky fan, but I read this book through in one sitting. I was throughly impressed with her decision to end the book the way she did. Too often we get the happy ending we all expect rather than an honest conclusion to a story. It was an unexpected surprise. I did cry and sob, but it was by far worth it!

Summary: I cried because I cared
Review: I cried and I usually don't like books that make me feel sad, but the character development was so good that I truly felt like I was losing someone precious to me. An excellent story.

Rating: 2 stars
Summary: book ended on a depressing note
Review: Although most of this book was pretty good, by the end I was in tears. I felt that there were several different options the author could have pursued rather that the one that she did (for the ending). It has been 3 days since I finished it, and I am still bothered by the climax of the book. Perhaps I shouldn't have had the wine with the book...

Summary: Wonderful
Review: This was the first book I had read by Delinsky, and I will be reading more! It is a beautiful story of a love meant to be. It is sad and the end, but also happy. I cried like never before, and yet felt great afterword!

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: wonderfully delightful
Review: this was a book that I could not put down. Wonderfuly written and very descriptive with a touch of a controversy subjet of "out of body" experience. A suprising tear-jerking ending that was both sad and happy. I would recommend it to any romance novel reader.

Rating: 2 stars
Summary: Could have been good story but it stumbles at the end...
Review: This is a story of a small town in Vermont with the usual spectrum of interesting characters. Bree is a small-town girl waiting for something out-of-the-ordinary to happen. Tom Gates is a guy from the big city who is about to be offered the opportunity to atone for past sins. Ms. Delinsky does a good job of showing us what small-town Vermont can be like. The ending, however, I found disappointing and trite and distasteful. The author doesn't seem to have much affection for these characters. I'd stick with some of her earlier works, like Fingerprints and Moment to Moment.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Delinsky at her finest
Review: This is one of Delinsky's finest books. It was a very emotional read. All of the characters and their relationships are beautifully crafted. I didn't just cry while reading the ending, I was sobbing. It has been a very long time since a book has affected me in this way. Bravo !!!

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Wishes Really Do Come True
Review: I have read many of Ms. Delinsky's works and found this to be her most provocative and emotional yet. Only one of her other books (Just Between Friends) had me crying at the end. I had heard that the ending was not what you would expect and because of that I had trouble focusing on some of the great writing in between. I was always waiting for the other shoe to drop. I can honestly say that this book evokes a gamut of emotions. The sense of family, forgiveness, and absolute love with the right person, can make all the difference in this world. Tom and Bree find each other by 'coincidence' and from there the story grabs you by the throat. I hated for the book to end and if I could have a 'wish', would like it to be that the story continue with Tom meeting the new neighbor Dee that eventually buys Bree's house. I'm looking forward to reading Coast Road which I'm sure will be another hit based on all her previous works!
