Summary: Boring
Review: Danielle Steel can do so much better. This was not one of her classics. It wasn't too exciting and VERY predictable!! You knew what was going to happen from chapter one. She usually has more excitment and passion in her books. For those of you who have read it enter the trivia contest at her web site...I look forward to her next book maybe it will be classic Danielle Steel that we're all used to

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: I have read all her books and this is one of her best yet.
Review: Bittersweet was wonderful! India was a great stay at home Mom, but with a passion that she had hidden so many years before. From the beginning Doug was not a very nice person. He wanted her there for his needs and to raise his children. Then there's Paul. What a great character he was. And Serena. Even though I was hoping for India and Paul to get together, I couldn't help liking what he had with Serena. I loved the way India and Paul were "telephone friends" for so long. I was a little worried for a while, but with all the twists and turns it worked out fine. I loved this book!!!

Summary: Great Book. Long overdue. As good as her first books.
Review: Danielle Steel recent books have not been up to her ususal standards. This book is a pleasant surprise. Ghost was a really good book and this book is of the same caliber. All Danielle Steel fans will really enjoy this effort. This is one of the best books she has written yet. The charater of India came alive and jumped off the paper. There is not a married woman alive that will not relate to India. The portrait of Doug was painted black. He is a man women love to hate. Women all over the world will really understand and root for India. All wives and mothers have been there and made sacrifices and later wondered "what if". India had the courage to go for it and not have to wonder "what if". This book is true Danielle Steel.

Summary: After a few disappointments it was a pleasure to read this
Review: The last few books Danielle Steel wrote were not up to her standards but this one was the "old" Danielle Steel. I read it in two days. It is a get cozy, get the afghan book that you can just read and enjoy. In a time where everything is so hectic and has such controversy it was nice to read a love story such as this. Maybe there is hope for some of us yet!!

Summary: What a great story!
Review: One that unfortunately occurs too often in society. Women wanting to return to the workplace and their husbands who are against it! India turned out to make the decision that was best for her, and instead of ruining her life, she ended up happier and more fulfilled! Way to go Danielle! One of your best yet!

Summary: She's Back!
Review: After the disasterious THE KLONE AND I and HIS BRIGHT LIGHT, Danielle Steel has gone back and wrote what readers want, a timeless romance. Good god, I am so over joyed, after THE GHOST, nothing next would beat it, and nothing still beats it.

Nevertheless, BITTERSWEET is one bitter and sweet tale of love and loss.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: One of the better ones, but not outstanding
Review: After reading many Danielle Steel books, I'm pretty much conditioned to her writing style. Its sort of a guilty pleasure. I have a love/hate relationship with her writing. That being said, I was ready to dive into this, knowing it would be saturated with sappy love searchers.

The book for the most part is an easy read and flows nicely. You want to go from chapter to chapter just to see how each situation is going to resolve itself. However, Danielle Steel is Queen of the "Happy Endings" books and you just know that no matter how horrible the storyline may go, it will always have a happy ending. What she COULD cut down on is the use of "...and you know it". Count how many times you see that. Every character uses it. "That's not true, and you know it", "Its what you want, and you know it." UUGHH I thought I would have screamed if I saw it again.

****SPOILER COMING UP - IF YOU DON'T WANT TO KNOW WHAT HAPPENS, STOP READING*** This time a woman (India Taylor) decides that being a stay at home mom is not enough and she wants to trek to faraway lands to take pictures of third world countries. Her husband is not happy about that and sees her as "someone he can rely on to take care of the kids"...(you'll see that sentence about a zillion times throughout the book)...she decides to tell him to kiss off and goes ahead with her plan. He divorces her, she falls in love with a multimillionaire vacationing down the road from her at Cape Cod. BUT, the millionaire is very married (to an award winning author by the way)...so they can't be together right? WRONG!!!! As luck (oops) would have it, she DIES in a plane crash...so they CAN be together after all!!! YAYYYYY!!! Happy ending....

Summary: The worst
Review: I love Daniel Stell books but this one was horible.I have to admit I didn't finsh it but I got tired of how her husband treated her and she did nothing about it.But from what I've read from other readers I didn't miss much by not finshing it.

Summary: Bittersweet
Review: A story of a woman named India Taylor, who after a number of years of marriage, discovered that she missed her career as a photographer. She was very talented and well respected in her field before she married. She missed the recognition that a career could give, although she still loved her husband and 4 children. Her husband, was narrow and difficult and could not see her personal struggle. In fact, he was totally against her starting up the career again. As the book progressed, India began to stand up to him because she did not want to lose who she was a person. In the end, she chose to pursue her dreams despite the obstacles. This was a moving and inspirational story with a romantic and happy ending!
