Summary: A Glorious book every one should read!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Review: This book was really great for me and my mom to read. It brought us closer together to have something to talk about. It has really improved my interest in WW2. I am now always looking for your next book. Jessica P.S. Dean please Hurry!!!!!!! I need those two other books!!!!!!!!! Congrats, Brother Hughes!!

Summary: It was wonderful
Review: This has certainly been an interesting series. I think I learned more about what it's like to be in a war than I ever did from watching "Saving Private Ryan" or any other war movie I have seen. You FEEL what it's like to be a soldier, or a prisoner of war, or a refugee, or even the family back home. I never realized how much the war affected the families, giving them the same sense of hopelessness and helplessness that other participants in the war have felt. It doesn't quite reach the level of spirituality that I felt from "The Work and the Glory" series, which may be why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5, but I am really looking forward to number 5 (I just finished number 4).

Summary: Great historical and religious fiction
Review: This is one of the best LDS fiction series I've seen--realistic, sophisticated, and gripping. I couldn't put down any of the volumes, and am looking forward to the next installment...LDS fiction is finally growing up!

Summary: character development
Review: What most impresses me about the "Children of the Pormise" series is the depth of the characters. Each character is believeable. It is a great way to climb into the thoughts of people who lived through this era. My grandparents say it's true to life, filled with the emotion of the era.

This series far surpasses the Work and the Glory series. Hughes is a sofisticated writer.

Summary: Don't Pass This By!
Review: Yet agan Hughes shows he is the master of LDS Fiction! This title is by far the best one of the series. It leaves you hungering and thirsting for more, More, MORE! The reality of WWII on both fronts really hits home in this book. If I were to read any LDS Fiction series it would be "Children of the Promise"! Way to go Mr. Hughes!
