Summary: Irresistible Forces, not too irresistible
Review: I have been an avid Danielle Steel reader for years and with every book you find likes and dislikes. With Irresistible Forces I found Steve to be and honest and hard working individual trying to make the best out of a busy trauma unit, i enjoyed the way Steel sent her lady character around the world on a working business trip with a handsome, sophisticated, wealthy man with no hanky panky, it showed that Merrie had integrity, that she was committed to her husband.. As a dislike, the story was drawn out, it could have been done in less words, there was a lot of repetitiveness, i didn't feel really connected with the characters, you couldn't get into the storyline with them... I'll still add it to my collection of Steel novels but the chances of reading it again are slim to none... Not her best work...

Summary: Not her best
Review: I agree with the other reviewers in saying that this was not one of her best books. It just seemed so predictable & boring. The writing could use some work too, saying the same thing over & over gets frustrating to read- I'd rather have a shorter book! The only thing I did enjoy was the characters- some you love & some you love to hate. But if you're looking for something good by Ms. Steel- I'd recommend The Wedding, Star or Heartbeat instead.

Summary: irresistible forces
Review: if your an Danielle Steele fan this is right up there with all the other styleized reads. Mostly you can take any story. line and change names, and local, and you have the story.I will give it this much, the story was somewhat different but lets get real, can they all be that dumb??? I do give her E for effort.

Summary: Irresistible Force - A guys point of view!
Review: This was my second Danielle Steel book after 'Secrets'. Why oh why, does Steel keep repeating herself throughout the book? If I was told Steve and 'Merrie' were happily in love with eachother once, I was told a thousand times. You got your point across Ms. Steel, or did you? See, I found nothing romantic in this tale of adultery. In fact it made me sick when that worm 'Cal' started to make a move on Meredith. While poor Steve was saving lives. The story seemed to centre on Meredith and Cal, and their sorrid, sleezy passion for eachother. As a result I hated the two main characters, and as a result disliked the story as a whole. We never got a chance to know Steve yet I felt more for him that the other two. The book appeared to be redeming itself toward the end when Cal and Merrie split following Steve's last ditch effort to save his marriage. And even better was when Steve has enough and leaves Merridith. Good on ya! But low and behold, Cal worms his way back to Merridith and what happens to our reluctant hero? He get's shot in a Robbery! Have you no heart Ms. Steel? Of course it does not end there, and we're left with the hope that Steve's new work colleague and soul mate 'Anna' can make a go of it, but we can only hope on that part. While we're painfully made aware that the deceitful Merridith will change a lifelong decision and will have kids with Cad. I'm sorry, I meant Cal! I'm sorry I just cannot enjoy a book where I have such a deep dislike for protagonists.

Summary: Terrible, Terrible, Terrible!!!
Review: This book is terrible, awful, and immoral and if you love Danielle Steel books (don't bother to read this one). My fiancee and I love to read to each other and I got angry/mad after reading this book. I just don't believe that marriage is based on cheating. I think Danielle Steel may have had one to many drinks while writing this book.

Summary: This one's got my vote!
Review: I found this book to be one of Danielle Steele's best; however, I don't like how she was so vague on the characters' descriptions. If you're looking for a book that makes you laugh and makes you cry then this is the book for you. If you are looking for a book with an unexpecting ending then I suggest you read this one.

Summary: yawn
Review: I'm only halfway through this book and am not at all sure I'll finish it. Yes, Steve and Meredith are in love, and yes, they work hard, and yes, they enjoy it when they both have a couple hours off. But no, please don't tell me these 3 things on every single page! This book is one big yawn. I used to be a Steele fan, but I don't plan to read any more of her books.

Summary: One of her worst
Review: I am a huge Danielle Steel fan, however this story could have been told in 75 pages. I feel it is one of her worst, Sorry Danielle! Just finished "The Kiss" and loved that one!!

Summary: Irresistible Forces
Review: Being a first time reader of Danielle Steel, I was very disappointed. The main characters "Steve" and "Merrie" protrayed the role of two lovers with complicated lives. The same plot continued throughout the book, leaving the ending predictable. Steel talked about the same idea over and over all through the book. Steve and Merrie are constantly telling people how much they love each other although they never have a free minute to be together. It was easy to tell what would happen in the end just by reading the middle of the novel. Steel needs to add a good twist to the end also adding some originality.
