Summary: A Great Book
Review: I loved this book about family and other relationships. They can be difficult at times. Barbara Delinsky is one of my favorite writers.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Nice and Easy Summer Read
Review: If you looking for a relaxing and interesting story line about real people, this is it. Enjoyed every page.

Summary: I Loved This Book!
Review: I usually read mysteries and suspense so this one was a step out of familiar territory . . . and I loved it. Most books that I read I either sell or give away, but this one I plan to keep.

Summary: A Keeper!
Review: I loved this book. I have read 16 Delinsky's in this one is in my top 3. I had to go find a hard cover edition for my personal library. It is a good choice to give to your Mother for a special gift. My mother is in her late 70's and this book inspired me to request her keep a journal for her family - which she is, but instead of writing it, she is putting it on tape for us to write up. A must read for Delinsky's fans. You will remember these characters for a long time after closing the book.

Summary: Interesting multigenerational tale
Review: Heard the taped version of THE VINEYARD by Barbara
Delinsky, a romance novel of a woman who shocks her family
when she announces plans to marry a vineyard employee mere
months after the death of her husband of 58 years . . . faced
with their disapproval, she decides to write a memoir and hires
a single mother to help her with the task . . . as can be
imagined, nothing is quite as it seems . . . I typically enjoy
such multigenerational stories and this one did not
disappoint . . . it did get a bit confusing at times (following
several story lines, back and forth, over various decades) . . . but
that's probably because I only had access to a 4-tape
abridgment and seemed to miss some important details as
a result.

Summary: My first Delinsky won't be my last
Review: This book read like a beautiful, rich, historic tapestry. This was the first time I've read a story (Natalie's) within a story (Olivia's) where each is so clearly defined, yet so skillfully interwoven. I'm hooked! If it's true that Ms. Delinsky's books / characters / plots are never the same, I'm looking forward reading another.

Summary: Nice Honeymoon reading.
Review: I wasn't too sure just how much time I would actually spend reading on my honeymoon, but both of us decided to take a book to read. I picked up "The Vineyard" at Costco because we were married at a Vineyard in CA. I was pleasantly surprised that I truely enjoyed the book. It was fun to read, and kept me wanting to know more about the characters and what was going to happen next. I was still reading after we got home and couldn't put it down until it was done. I plan to read more by Barbara Delinsky very soon.

Summary: Classic Delinsky
Review: Barbara Delinsky's characters always learn from each other and it isn't always want they want to learn. Olivia Jones is a single parent who dreams of how much easier life would be with an extended family. Natalie Seebring is the martiarch with just that kind of family; but when Olivia goes to work for Natalie, she finds even with family you can be very much alone. I always enjoy the fact that the women in Delinsky's books bridge all facest of life; fitting interesting carreers into busy lives loving their children, their homes, and the men they choose as partners.

Summary: To be enjoyed with a glass of wine
Review: This is my first Barbara D. novel and I really enjoyed it. I'm currently 6 mos. pregnant, and the entire time reading this book, wanted a glass of wine! What started out as an interesting story, seemed to all wrap up in the last chapter! What a dissapointment. I wanted to learn more about Simon and Olivia's romance! I felt that the writer spent maybe too much time on the hurricane than was needed. I seemed to lose the vivid images I had earlier throughout the book when it came to those chapters. I could imagine the character Simon in my head, but for some reason, never could get an image of Olivia though. Overall, I liked the setting and the story. It kept me looking forward to the next chapter. After I finished, I felt like old friends of mine had left! I will be reading more of Ms. Delinsky's novels for the pure enjoyment that this one gave me. P.S. I LOVED the cover of the book too!

Summary: A warm, fluffy tale
Review: Olivia and Tess moves to a Rhode Island vineyard ~~ to help Natalie write a memoir about her life for her children. Carl, the former manager and Natalie are also planning a wedding ~~ which Natalie's children heartily disapproves of because their father had only been dead for six months ~~ and this is just the beginning of a fun novel.

This novel is also a look into the complex relationships between children and parents, between friends and lovers. It is not a deep, engrossing book ~~ but it will do for a satisfying read. It isn't a book that will stay with you forever ~~ it is what I call a warm, fuzzy read. It is predictable what's going to happen ~~ but it is a sweet and tender story.

If you like a romance novel with a few how-tos thrown in, then you'll like this one. If you despise fluffy reading, then don't pick this one up.
