Summary: Wonderful Read! Shows meaning of friendships between people
Review: This book is diverse on how: different we all are and how we sometimes feed off each other strengths and weakness. How some people value love, grief and friendship. It also shows that even though people are from different cultures, life's problems don't chose color, race, or culture.

Summary: Audio version -- narration was a pleasure to listen to
Review: I throoughly enjoyed the unabridged version on audio cassette. The narrator's accent was so captivating that I couldn't put it down!!!! I've changed my own way of speaking after listening to the tapes. A combination of the story and narration made it very worth my while. Towards the end, however, the story rather thinned out.

Summary: Maeve does it again!
Review: I thoroughly enjoyed this story as I have all of Maeve Binchy's works. She has a way of weaving a tale as only an Irishman (or woman) can! The central character is well defined while you learn as much about the other players as you do the lead character. I recommend all of Maeve Binchy's works as thoroughly enjoyable treats! I have to pace myself when reading her books as I don't want to have to let go of the characters.

Summary: Chick Book-okay quick read-but ending was a letdown
Review: The book was an easy read, a "hey I can relate tothat" kind of book-but the end left me hanging-I wanted something a little more spicy to happen.

Summary: Awesome in the end
Review: At times this book did drag a bit, but when you get to the end, you realize that it was well worth it. I was sad when I was done.

Summary: Trading places can be revealing and enjoyable!
Review: I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It kept me interested right until the end and I would recommend it to anyone who has never read a Maeve Binchy book as "Tara Road" was my first but won't be my last.

Review: This was the kind of book I would not have normally read. But,when it was recommended and I begin to read this book I could not put it down,it was one of the best I have ever read and definitly worth the time reading it.

Summary: One of Binchy's Best
Review: I have to say that this one of Binchy's best novels. The character development was wonderful and you really felt like you knew all the characters personally. I always enjoy Binchy's novels and thisone had to be one of my favorites.

Summary: Why, Oprah, why?
Review: What a disappointment this last Oprah pick was. Tara Road offers a predictable plot and undeveloped characters at a level an 8 year old could understand.

Rating: 2 stars
Summary: women only
Review: I just did not like it. Nothing is really happening and it just drags on and on. In my opinion the characters are quite boring, maybe just like in real life. Anyway, I think it might be a nice book for women, but men, stay away from it!
