Summary: Couldn't put it down...Oprah picks another winner!
Review: I absolutely loved this book! The idea of creating a totally complete yet seperate life is very interesting. The quest of the "pilot's wife" to find out what really happened on her husband's plane is a page-turner! Some people will not like the ending, but I think it is realistic...no fairy tale here, just a great story.

Summary: An average book
Review: I am surprised Oprah recommended this book. It is very average in its entertainment value, especially the ending. My interest was held through the book because it is a mystery that is solved slowly. Once I read all the details, I was left thinking....is this my reward for getting to the end? Not good enough to be on the book club list, folks.

Summary: You'll stay up all night reading this one!
Review: The Pilot's Wife is a great read. From the first page you are hooked! I look forward to reading many more of Anita Shreve's books.

Summary: Dud ending
Review: An interesting read, but what a dud ending. The author got sidetracked on boring issues. I wish she focused more on the husband's secret life.

Summary: Did I Miss Something?
Review: This is a book I really enjoyed reading. It captivated me fromt he very first page. However, as I got more into the book, and my eagerness to learn more about the plot grew, I seemed to have missed something. Something very important. Or perhaps the story wasn't as clearly written in the end. I finished the book not knowing how it ended. I have re=read it twice now, and still can't figure out the ending. I am so disappointed that such a wonderful book seemed to end so inexplicably. Help me.

Summary: A few dissapointments, but overall, a good book
Review: The book was extremely well written; quite the page turner. I was, however, dissapointed with the plot. The reviews had made it seem as if Jack were a secret agent or something of the sort. It was a slight let down to learn he was having an affair. Besides that, Anita Shrive did a great job. I have already recommended the book to a bunch of friends.

Summary: It leaves you wanting a sequel
Review: This was the first book I have read by Anita Shreve and I am hooked. This suspenseful novel is one you cannot put down. It is an amazing story. You can feel Katherine's emotions as if all these things are happening to you. Just when you think nothing more could possibly happen to Katherine it does. The ending left me begging for a sequel.

Summary: Not a bad book...
Review: Although this was not the best book I have ever read, it wasn't the worst. The book managed to keep my interest but I found it annoying that the author bounced back and forth every other chapter between past and present. I found the ending somewhat weak but enjoyed the book overall.

Summary: A page turner! Couldn't put it down!
