Rating: Summary: Emotional Review: My first book by Sparks. It is a story about love, life, loss and other experiences. What a wonderful, wonderful book. It made me smile, cry and stress. You want to hold and comfort the characters, you want to help them. You feel like you are there with them. You feel their pain, their joy. I am still emotional today. I can't think abou this book without getting goosebumps and crying. A must read if you enjoy this type of reading.
Rating: Summary: A WASTE OF MONEY Review: Nicolas Sparks has taken a good idea for a story and turned it into a piece of boring, mundane ramblings. About halfway through, I was absolutely bored to death with the mindless rhetoric. This is the first novel I have read in a while that devoted page after page to talking about the weather. Save your money on this one, it is a "MUST NOT" read.
Rating: Summary: Another Great Book by Sparks Review: This has made my third Sparks book to read and I loved it just as much as the others. It really captures human emotions. Sparks has the ability to make me laugh cry and to continue to think about his characters. It's a great book! I recommend it to anyone! Enjoy it!
Rating: Summary: The lives of many people Review: In the novel, The Rescue, Nicholas Sparks made his characters seem so complex yet so believable. The lives of the characters can be compared not only to me but may be to you as well. We sometimes think that the world is out to get us and that nothing is going the way we want it to. We may hold back what we are thinking and how we are feeling, but in the long run we all need someone to be there for us. Nicholas Sparks made this very clear when he wrote about this characters. They are as believable and real as we are. At least that's what our eyes are seeing and our minds are believing. I would definitely recommend this book and the others to everyone. I enjoyed it a great deal.
Rating: Summary: A story that pulls you in...... Review: This is a Great book, my heart wept for Denise as she tried desperetly to help her child Kyle talk and understand language. Then Taylor entered her life and things changed over night. I cheered for their first kiss and yelled when he left her behind to chase another fire. An author with feelings that women truely can relate to.
Rating: Summary: My Review Review: I thought this was a good book. I especially liked it because I could relate to the character Taylor McAden. I could share some of the same personality traits that he had with my own. That made me want to read the book even more when I read about his troubles with women and I could sort of see myself as his character. It made the book even more exciting than it already was. I would recommend this book to anyone that was looking for a good book to read.
Rating: Summary: Wonderful Writing Review: As is all Sparks' novels here is another one we can relate to. This is what makes them so close to our hearts. You will laugh, you will cry, you will be in suspense, you will feel it all. Sparks is a marvel! And he just never stops bringing us great writing.
Rating: Summary: great read Review: I have also read "message in a bottle" so I had high expectations for this book. Once I started reading it I couldn't put it down. I loved Taylor and Denise, and the story it took to get them together. I found it very sad also the pain that they had to endure. It can definitely be a tearjerker especially towards the end. This book gave me a sense of hope in true love.
Rating: Summary: Boring, Predictable and demeaning Review: I found this book to be extremely predictable, (...)demeaning, (suddenly Kyle speaks better when Tyler was in his life.) Both of those reasons add up to boring for me. If this is Nicholas Sparks type of writing, I will not be picking up anymore of his books.
Rating: Summary: Fair story, strong characters Review: I enjoyed Nick Sparks's The Rescue but it was not as good as The Notebook. The Rescue held my interest, nevertheless, because I felt the characters were well developed and the relationships were strong ones. I give him special credit for presenting the child, Kyle, with so much consideration and respect. ...
