Summary: The Rescue
Review: An excellent book. It had a perfect mixture of romance and drama. He kept the plot running so I never got bored with it. All the characters are fully developed so you feel like you really know them and can emphathize with their problems. I strongly recommend this book for romance lovers.

Review: I was told to read this book by one of my teachers. I have read 2 of Spark's others before I read this one. I couldnt put it down. I started on a saturday morning and finished by that night. It was great. The way he writes it just keeps you to want to continue reading. I loved this and I'm sure many other people will also.

Summary: Nicholas Sparks's Rescue of Love
Review: Nicholas Sparks's Rescue of Love, December 11, 2000 The Rescue, Nicholas Sparks

When the storm comes rushing through a small town of North Carolina, you will never be able to set this book down until it is finished. Nicholas Sparks has a way of writing that draws readers deep into every book he has published; including Message In A Bottle, The Notebook, and A Walk To Remember. In The Rescue, a volunteer fireman, Taylor, is the first to an accident scene caused by a torturous storm. This is where the victims nearly emotionally rescue him, yet he is unaware of it at the time. At his arrival he only discovers Denise, a single young mother. When she wakes from her unconsciousness, she realizes her toddler, Kyle, is missing. Taylor knows at that moment that he must begin the search. This search for Denise's four-year old son is what Taylor needs to conquer his fear of falling in love. This is only the beginning of the rescues to happen in this novel, but it takes a tragedy for Taylor to realize his need for Denise and Kyle. Sparks's will take you in through many situations that can change the way you look at each and every relationship today. This story will prove to you how much love in any form is actually a necessity. The Rescue has plot that continuously flows creating a constant entertainment for readers. Everyone who plans on falling in love should take time to read this excellent novel to realize how important love really is.

Summary: high school reader
Review: I found this book to be quite touching. It was a great book and is far better than any of the other books by Nicholas Sparks. Sparks was easily able to draw you into the story with the distinctiveness of his character descriptions and the preciseness of the feelings occuring within them. The rollercoaster ride that the characters go through, drag you along with them! I think Nicholas Sparks has a unique talent that should be shared with everyone. I recomend this book to anyone and everyone to read. It is awsome. You WILL love it!

Summary: An amazingly well told story!
Review: I picked this book up in the Knoxville airport not knowing anything about the writer or the story. What a welcome surprise I was in for while reading this book! The Rescue is filled with emotion, and humor. The characters are well defined, and realistic. Denise, Taylor, Kyle and the rest of the characters go through amazing growth and transformations to create a wonderful story that kept me glued to it until the end.

Summary: The Rescue I'll Always Remeber
Review: I honestly can say that Nicholas Sparks is by far my favorite author of all time and once again he has made me laugh, cry, and ready to read another one after I have finished. This story is one of two small town people(like myself) overcomming obstacles that are at times obvious, yet at others, cannot be seen, and their journey to find a love that they both need. I truly did enjoy this book on a cold, rainy day without wanting to put it down.

Summary: Good but not good enough
Review: I enjoyed the book but I suspect it is because I enjoy the writing of Nicholas Sparks. I thought the plot was very predictable. (I can't go into much detail without giving it away). Suffice it to say about halfway through the book, I knew exactly how it was going to end.

Summary: HELP! HELP!
Review: Remember "Bridges of Madison County?" and "Love Story?". Well, here's another tug on the heartstrings and time out for tears saga. Can a fireman who swore he'd never fall in love find happiness in the arms of a young single woman with a 4 year old son while fighting fires? This love story takes place in a fictional yet realistic small North Carolina town amid nature's beauty and southern hospitality. Nicholas Sparks writes beautiful dialogue and his characters have such depth that like it or not you will be touched by this novel and begin to believe in love stories a-new. No, doubt, a film based on "The Rescue" will appear in the very near future. We've already seen Clint Eastwood and Merle Streep. Anyway, Nicholas Sparks "strikes a match in our hearts again". He did it with "Message in a Bottle", "The Notebook", and "A Walk to Remember". I liked all of them. His latest "The Rescue," is another readers find.
