Summary: Predictable, but read it if you're a Nicholas Sparks fan.
Review: I love Nicholas Sparks so much, but this book was too predictable. The "dark secret" the guy had didn't surprise me.

I cannot stress how much I love "A Walk to Remember." ^_^

Summary: Easy to take, predictable, modern day fairy tale...
Review: So this is what you have to produce to reach American audiences -very interesting! I started this at 9pm one night and was finished by 2am! This is a lovely little love story that has apparently made it big on the Times bestseller list. Denise Holton is a working mom who has devoted her life to her 4 year-old, Kyle, who has an auditory processing problem (he's bright but has trouble speaking and processing what he hears). Taylor McAden is a contractor and a risk-taking volunteer fireman who comes across Denise in a car accident and is part of the team who fan out in the woods to find the missing boy, Kyle. Taylor, like many people, has some ghosts that need exorcising before he can live a normal life but he finds himself fast falling in love with Denise - who may be like all the others, or may be able to help him. It's a nice story and the progression of Denise's and Taylor's relationship is meticulously and thoughtfully developed. This isn't great literature - it's more the sort of genre that occurs when Barbara Cartland meets Charles Frazier ("On Cold Mountain"), but it's an easy to take, predictable, modern-day fairy tale that will make most people feel all warm and fuzzy after they've finished it.

Summary: THE RESCUE
Review: THE RESCUE by Nicholas Sparks was a great book. It's a great story that definetly captures one's heart. If you haven't read it, I would definetly recomment reading it! Sit down, relax and read away. Also, if you haven't read any of his other books, they are all great. AND I CAN'T WAIT FOR a walk to remember TO COME OUT AS A MOVIE!!!

Summary: I LOVED THIS BOOK!
Review: This book was an emotional roller coaster. Read it when you are alone because you won't be able to stop crying during some parts! The story's up and downs, and feel-good finale really touched my heart. Now I want to find more by Nicholas Sparks.....

Summary: The Rescue
Review: I have read Nicholas Sparks's prior 3 books. The Rescue is not as good as the other three. Don't get me wrong it is a good book, but there was no comparison to the others. For one it didn't make me cry like the rest. The story is about a young lady, Denise, who moves to her deceased mother's hometown to raise her son, Kyle. She is lonely and finally meets the man of her dreams. However, something happened when he was 9-years-old that he feels guilty about which holds him back from her and every other girl he has dated. In Sparks's previous books the ending was totally a surprise, but in this book the ending is very obvious. So, I was a bit disappointed. Over all the book was good. Now I am ready to read the next Sparks book!

Rating: 3 stars
Summary: Not as good as his other novels
Review: I began the book with very high hope after reading and enjoying his other books, but I must say it was very hard keep on reading, because the ending was just so predictable. I couldn't really understand what that main character's problem was like the other reviewer had said. And from all of Sparks' book, I would said I wouldn't have mind not reading it. If you want the excitement of fire fighting love story, read Nicholas Evans' new novel, The Smoke Jumper. That story is more exciting and heart wrenching than this book. And you could understand why the characters act the way they does, which I couldn't do with Sparks' novel here.

Summary: LOVE NICHOLAS SPARKS!!!
Review: He proves again, a romantic. I love this book so touching, not one you will want to set down right away. I will read it again, and I do not generally do that.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Never Disappointed
Review: Sparks never disappoints us in his ability to work his way into our hearts and souls. The Rescue was no exception. As heartwrentching and soul bruising as his other stories before, this one will have you mesmerized in its characters, thinking about them for days after you put the book away.

Denise Holden is a single mother living in a small, Southern town. Her son, 5 year old Kyle, has a vocabulary development problem, and Denise has put her life on hold to work tireless to improve it. Things in her life are measured in small steps, until the accident. A heroic man saves Denise and Kyle from the wreckage of her car, and their life together begins...

Rating: 2 stars
Summary: Largely predictable
Review: Although I greatly enjoyed the authors previous works, specifically The Notebook and A Walk to Remember, this book seemed too predictable. Sparks has a wonderful ability to closely detail smalltown life and all it's charm, but the plot-line seemed like familiar territory. Still worth reading for the diehard fans of Sparks. Otherwise I suggest you check out his earlier books.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: A Great Read
Review: I really enjoyed reading this book. I think that Sparks is getting better with every book he writes. I'm the type of guy that imagines himself in every book, and its really fun with Nicholas Sparks novels. I can relate to the characters, especially this book. I tell everyone I can to pick up a copy, you won't be disappointed
