Summary: mmmmmm
Review: Yet another Cross over book for both adults and children to enjoy. This one, however, is mediocre. It has no real insight, terrible prose (maybe this is the translator's fault) flimsy spirituality, and is just plain boring. I expected better from Allende but maybe she should stay away from children's books. Two adult/children's books that are good however are Sabriel and Summerland (Michael Chabon).

A book i highly recommend is The Beguilers by Kate Thompson. Beautifully written, full of emotion and insights into growing up and becoming an independent person, it is one of the best children's books i've ever read.
