Summary: For everyone who's had life-long friendships!
Review: Fern Michaels is amazing! She has joined together old people & young, past and present, good and bad into a wonderful, entertaining story. I laughed out loud reading some of the humorous lines the characters said and cried when it was over. I personally have a group of friends who have hung together since we were 3 years old - We're now in our 50's! I will make sure each of my buddies gets a copy of "Late Bloomer."

Summary: Quite possibly the worst written book ever
Review: I had high expectations for this book. Was I ever disappointed. The story was unbelievable, the characters were as thin as a sheet of paper, and the dialogue read as if it had been written by a 13 year old. It was frustrating to read, because the dialogue just unraveled any interest I may have had in the plot. I was really shocked when I saw a picture of Fern Michaels. I would have bet that she was a very young author. Since she has been writing for over 30 years, there is no excuse for a book with such minimal plot and character development. To be fair, the concept of the book was weak, but a better author could have done more to make the book readable. Cartoon villians, inconsistent voice given to the comic relief of the grandmother and her servants, and a love interest who we are supposed to believe never got past his first love when he was 13. What a mess.

Summary: What the hell? This book sucks!
Review: I had never read (or listened to) a Fern Michaels novel and after this childish crap can truly say I never will again. What is it with these writers who start off critical, talented and hungry who have some best sellers and then think any garbage they commit to the written word is a slam dunk (i. e. James Patterson)? Michaels characters are at the very least extremely bipolar, (what's the deal with that first blowup between Boomer and Cady), at the most shallow and juvenile. The dialogue is sophomoric, repetitive and just plain comic book, and I never cared for an instant about anyone in the book. If this is all it takes to have a best seller, I'm quitting my day job and buying a computer, because I can write rings around this refuse. If I could choose zero stars, I gladly would have. The only saving grace is that I listened to the book on CD, (coincidentally read in the same trite, overbearing, mushy, juvenile, stupid way it was written), which I borrowed from my local library, saving my money for something, anything of any value at all.

Summary: Fern Does It Again!!
Review: I have just finished reading Fern Michael's new book, Late Bloomer and I enjoyed it as much as every other book of her's and I have read them all. I love romance, mystery and family and her novels include all of the above. Plus she always has a pet, usually a dog included and being a dog lover I enjoy this added bonus.

Summary: Very hard to read....
Review: I just couldn't get into the book. The writing seemed choppy. I didn't feel much for the characters. Skipped many pages because I was just bored. I did read the end though and it just seemed a little odd...especially the whole shower thing. Many parts of the book just left me hanging and were not explained in enough depth to make it "realistic" and plausable.

Not impressed at all with this book.

Summary: Best Seller
Review: I just know this book will make the best seller list. It has love, humor, sadness, mystery...all the ingredients for a best seller. How could it miss??? The author had my attention from the first page to the last. It was one of those books I couldn't put down or go to sleep until I finished reading it. It was a truly wonderful book and I hope I don't have long to wait for another great book by Fern Michaels.

Summary: Fern Michaels again at her best
Review: I knew from the very beginning that this would be a great book.
The cover itself gives it a great invite into the book and from the very first page you are swept away once agin by Fern's wonderful writing- I must admit that I have read 98% of her books and never have been disappointed-
