Rating: Summary: THIS ONE IS A DEFINITE KEEPER!!! Review: SO MANY TIME WE GET SO CAUGHT UP IN OTHER ACTIVITIES THAT WE FORGET WHAT IS REALLY IMPORTANT TO US, SUCH AS THE LOVE AND DEVOTION OF OUR FAMILY AND FRIENDS. THIS IS A VERY ENTERTAINING BOOK, BUT THERE IS ALSO A LOT TO BE LEARNED FROM IT. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS BOOK FOR ANYONE TO READ!!!!!
Rating: Summary: I couldn't put the book down! Review: For being only eighteen years of age, this book was exactly what I was looking for. It had a wonderful story line, compelling and thoughtful. I loved it. I loaned it to friends and they went out and bought it also. I'm reading it for a third time now. It just gets better and better.
Rating: Summary: very good soap opera read but poor on literary quality Review: as really good literary fiction this book would rate very poorly. but it is a good read if you like a soap opera type of plot with little character development but many characters and a story that moves along quite well.
Rating: Summary: Beautifully portrayed family dynamics. Review: Having been through a divorce and reconcilliation while raising a teen-aged girl and boy, I laughed and cried at Delinsky's right-on portryal of this families pain and joy. I went out immediately and obtained two additional books written by Delinsky. I'm looking forward to reading more by this author.
Rating: Summary: a wonderful story. Review: I visited the monterey area last year. so this brought it all back to me, and I love all that I have read of Barbara's work, she is able to get you involved with the characters
Rating: Summary: A reading delight Review: What a pleasure to read a book that is "clean," in every aspect of the word. A book that delves into complex relationships and doesn't soil any of them. A plot that is not muddied along the way. Very rarely are characters as well developed as these are. A book remarkably absent of foul language. Coast Road was reading enjoyment from start to finish.
Rating: Summary: Great Find! Review: I was actually searching for something else when I came across this book at the library. I am so glad that I gave it a try! A great story. Very intriguing. This book shows that sometimes we're just too busy to take time for what is really important in our life - what really matters.
Rating: Summary: Worth the read Review: A book about restoring a broken relationship, healing and introspection -- and all from a man's perspective. But it is a fun read - not too heavy. Even though it is fiction, there is a lot that hits home and applies today. Makes you want to slow down and appreciate what you have that makes your life special.
Rating: Summary: One of Barbara Delinsky's best. Review: This was one of Barbara Delinsky's best ever. I became so caught up in the characters that I couldn't put the book down. I recommended this book to a friend and she read it in one evening. Also, to my daughter, who is not an avid reader, and she also read the book in one weekend. The characters are marvelous, real, relatable people. It was great to read a story told from a man's point of view.
Rating: Summary: Yet another example of Barbara's way with words! Review: She doesn't always choose a predictable route or ending, but always believable. I find it so easy to hear the sounds, envision the views and feel the sorrow or joy. She certainly must have a vast resource list to describe so many of the scenarios that life can hand us. Here's to many years of stories yet to be told.
