Summary: Coast Road
Review: Great book.I enjoyed this one more than most. Jack was the epitome of the romantic man finding his softer side and getting in touch with his children and his woman. I would recommend this one for sure.

Summary: Sensitively told story
Review: This was a sensitive story involving a mother of two adolescent girls struck down in a car accident in the prime of her life. The location is Big Sur, and the event involves the reactions of her children, ex-husband, friends and colleagues as they cope with the ramifications of the catastrophe. A well done story dealing with difficult issues. Highly recommended.

Summary: Coast Road is a passionate & charming read.
Review: I don't usually read "romance" except, for somereason, this book called to me. It was a satisfyingly real &domestic read! Two kids, spanning the age of innocence to the age of suspicion, who were great until their safe normal world is bashed in, copes with their fear in their own ways. Meanwhile their estranged father comes back into their lives, one resents him making like a parent while the other accepts his return with haunting gladness. A well-wrought love story with redemption & resolution. A good read!...

Summary: Great book if you like to fantasize
Review: I've read one of Barbara Delinsky's books about eight years ago, and I was impressed. That book, A Woman Betrayed, kept me in search of an interesting book Barbara. Admittedly, Coast Road is readable, but the plot is unrealistic. Jack and Rachel's two daughters, 13 and 15 year old, had the intelligence of 3 and 5 year olds. Rachel was the one with the head injuries, but one has to wonder if Jack suffered from head injuries also. The story was told in 16 days, which seemed to be enough time for Jack to realize that he's put the love of his life on the back burner for the past six year. Grow up Jack! The only good thing about Coast Road is the fact that Delinsky keeps the reader interested in finding out whether or not Rachel wakes up.

Summary: Disappointed
Review: This was my first Barbara Delinsky book. I thought the premise was interesting, however, I thought Barbara had a problem writing from a "male perspective." The first 50 pages were good but the story became more unbelievable and predictable as it went on. I must admit I was even more diappointed because of the glowing reviews.

Summary: A VERY GOOD BOOK
Review: This was for sure an "I can't put it down" book! I loved it from cover to cover. I just couldn't wait to see what would happen next! If you want to another read a book that goes straight to your heart, read Stolen Moments by Barbara Jeanne Fisher. . .It is a beautiful story of unrequited love. . .for certain the love story of the nineties. I intended to give the book a quick read, but I got so caught up in the story that I couldn't put the book down. From the very beginning, I was fully caught up in the heart-wrenching account of Julie Hunter's battle with lupus and her growing love for Don Lipton. This love, in the face of Julie's impending death, makes for a story that covers the range of human emotions. The touches of humor are great, too, they add some nice contrast and lighten things a bit when emotions are running high. I've never read a book more deserving of being published. It has rare depth. Julie's story will remind your readers that life and love are precious and not to be taken for granted. It has had an impact on me, and for that I'm grateful. Stolen Moments is written with so much sensitivity that it made me want to cry. It is a spellbinder. What terrific writing. Barbara does have an exceptional gift! This book was edited by Lupus specialist Dr. Matt Morrow too, and has the latest information on that disease. ..A perfect gift for someone who started college late in life, fell in love too late in life, is living with any illness, or trying to understand a loved one who is. . .A gift to be cherished forever.

Summary: Wonderful Read
Review: In addition to a vivid portrayl and analysis of a faltering relationship between husband and wife, Barbara Delinsky creates the most accurate description of a young teen-age girl that I have ever read. I can only compare it to "been there, done that" with my own. Delinsky's characterization of the women involved in the life of these two was a beautiful addition to round out the relationship of the two primary players.

Summary: We should all learn Jack's lesson.
Review: I had a really tough time putting this book down. I thoroughly enjoyed it. The story wasn't just a renewal of romance, it also was one of a man returning to his true self. A great lesson for us all in the busy world we live in.

Summary: Excellent
Review: This is the second Barbara Delinsky book I've read and it hooked me. This story is wonderful. I was amazed at how you knew everything about Rachel, but she was comatose for the majority of the book. It also reminds you to appreciate the things you have when you have them. I would strongly recommend this book!

Summary: Incredible!
Review: I loved "Coast Road" and read it in a day, I just could not put it down. The next time I pick up a Barbara Delinsky book I am going to make sure I clear my calendar for the day. Other books that I loved from this author are "Within Reach" and "Heart of the Night".
