Rating: Summary: Read this book! Review: This book is one of the best i read this year i just could not put it down. its about three best friends learning to deal with life and love and tragedy. this is the only book i have ever read where i had to put it aside for a second because i was laughing so hard ( the gomez and roller blade part) but there are many other humorous parts as well. I hope patrick sanchez keeps on writing books like this! i have recommended it to friends! If you see this in a bookstore buy it and read it i guarantee you will be hooked from page one like i was! I am eagerly awaiting patrck sanchezs next book.
Rating: Summary: Laugh-out-loud funny Review: This book is truly hysterical. I read it in a few days and could not stop laughing, even on the metro, in the gym, etc. It is especially funny for those of us who grew up and/or live in the DC metro area, and can picture the bars and restaurants used as settings in the book. I met Patrick Sanchez at one of his readings and he is as witty and humorous as his characters. If you want a classic, read Hamlet. If you want to laugh, pick up Girlfriends!
Rating: Summary: TERRIFIC READ! Review: This book was hilarious! It was like an episode of Seinfeld, only in book form. I laughed out loud a few times and kept turning the pages to see what was going to happen next. I'm looking forward to Patrick Sanchez's next novel.
Rating: Summary: The Real DC Review: This book was very refreshing. It is great to be able to get physically involed in a novel because it is about my home. I was able to actually relate to the bars, shops, streets and the "real" life that actually took place in this book. Patrick actually brings the real DC out of the people and puts it on paper. The relationships between the characters reminds me so much of my circle of friends. I think Gina is a reminder that if we don't whatch ourselves, we too can become that jaded. I can't wait to see what Patrick can think of next.
Rating: Summary: Hysterical, Funny, and Brilliant Review: This is one of the best books I have ever read! Patrick Sanchez is amazing with his wit and humor. Everyone knows people like this -- you just won't admit it. A great way to spend your time - I would definitely recommend it to anyone who has ever had a relationship or a friend!

Rating: Summary: Book is bland...and run of the mill Review: This is the same old story told over and over again about women who pick the wrong men. What about a book about women who pick the right men?

Rating: Summary: Typical Review: Three women trying to find the right mates, all of them turn out to be the wrong ones. Just your typical book of women in the dating scene.
Rating: Summary: Mixed review... Review: Well, this review (and book) has a bright side and a bad side. Often, many aspects are both, mainly because original as they are - they are taken to extremes that just destroy the point they're trying to make. This is another 'chick flick' about girls trying to find the love of their lives (or at least to fill the time until that peson comes along). But unlike your usual potentially successful girl, with a potentially 'perfect' job and salary within reach, these girls have jobs like the rest of us - boring, unfulfilling, not paying that well, etc. Also, since the book was written by a guy, I was expecting a different point of view on the subject matter ('Single Girl's Life"). Another twist that is a bit unusual is that instead of one heroine, we get three - and each one has her twist. Gina is desperate to get married, Cheryl is an African American trying to find someone throuhg Personal Ads, and Linda is gay. But none of these potential promises are fulfilled. The characters cannot even be described as shallow - they are positvely superficial! I'm not sure where the whole Gay / Lesbian vibe was coming from, but refreshing as it was at the start of the book, it began to wear off after yet another new character was revealed to be one, and not only that - he / she are somehow connected to the other gay / lesbian population in the book. The same goes for another group of people (or rather - potential dates) - the 'perverts'. Not only do they know each other, but two of our girls somehow manage to get involved with them in a matter of days! I won't say "don't read this". I'll just reccomend you borrow it from your local library first.
