Rating: Summary: Katie gives up on love but, love doesn't give up on Katie Review: Katie Simpson comes home early one night and finds her boyfriend "boffing" someone else in their bathroom. This fact along with her propensity to only hit on men that are gay has her swearing off men for the New Year. As she is taking this route her other close friends have their own new years resolutions. Janice has decided to find herself a "Sugar Daddy" and Sam her best friend forever has just bought a house and is talking about maybe settling down. The only one still looking to party seems to be George (who is gay). You follow the story of these 4 friends and how they interact with not only each other by all others in their acquaintance. When George brings home the love of his life Katie is shocked to see it is someone she tried to sleep with before she is fired from her job, which she didn't' like anyways. Eventually it is determined that David is going to be deported unless they can find a way to keep him in the country. So George and David talk to Katie and convince her to "fake" marry David so he can stay and they will let her use their house to start her catering business. While this is all going on Katie finally figures out that she loves Sam but, he seems to have a girlfriend now. Timing is everything. I enjoyed this book. It was a quick read and it kept me wondering what was happening next. I read this while stranded at the Cincy Airport and it was a great way to pass the time.
Rating: Summary: Brilliant fun book Review: My Fake Wedding made me laugh out loud. It was bitchy, sarcastic, and hilarious. I am looking forward to Mina Ford's next book.

Rating: Summary: Nothing "Fake" About This Great Book Review: This new "chick-lit" (man .... I am so over that word) tale is really solid! Super funny and a real page turner. I loved "My Fake Wedding" by Mina Ford is a great new addition to the Red Dress Ink family. I loved how very English this book is - and all the tone and feel of a suburban British tale. Katie Simpson is a wonderful lead - and holds the entire gang of characters in her hand and drives the story forward with great charm and ease. I loved the everything about this book and find it a great way to spend an afternoon or LONG plane delay (which is how I got it read). Enjoy! Cheers!

Rating: Summary: Delicious Review: Well, I have to say I haven't enjoyed a book this much for a while. I loved all the crude language and bawdy humour.
Katie has vowed off getting involved with anyone ever again after a spate of disastrous relationships. It seemed very realistic to me that just when you do cry off ever dating again and say as she did it's going to be one night stands all the way ... that suddenly really quite nice commitment-unphobic men start queuing up at your door.
This one was good because the sex was fairly realistic not the usual stuff where people are orgasming their heads off as soon as the man touches them. And ok Katie starts off being a pretty pathetic character but she's so lovable and humanly flawed that I could totally relate to her dilemnas. I really loved this and long to read more by this author.
