Summary: The Best By Far
Review: I really enjoyed this title. I have read most all Danielle Steel's books. This one was one that I just couldn't put down. The war and the struggles that she goes through is amazing and heroic. I could almost guess the ending but it was still satisfying to hear the words!! I recommend this along with many other Danielle Steel as must reads!

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: The Ring is Steel's best!! I sobbed my way through it!
Review: The Ring is a compelling story in which Nazi Germany is the backdrop. Like so many great war novels, The Ring has tragic loss and sorrow, but also, love and joy. Your emotions will be run ragged as you read this! You won't want to put it down and a full box of Kleenex is a must!

Summary: unforgettable story
Review: This is a must read book. A truly heartbreaking story filled with a character who is strong and unforgettable. A story taking place in World War II, it not only makes you appreciate history and feel for the victims of the war, but it brings you inside the story. I read this book in a day and couldn't bare to put it down. I had to know what was next, how it would end. A novel that turns heartache into tragedy, and tragedy into love. A story you will remember forever.

Summary: Truly outstanding
Review: This is a wonderful book. We follow Arianna through her life in Germany, losing her mother, than father and brother, and finding love with a German soldier. When he is killed, she has no one to turn to. Alone and afraid she heads to America where she discovers that she is pregnant. She is befriended by a family in New York, who invite her into their home and their lives. She is quickly betrayed by them and once again finds herself alone, this time with a baby to care for and protect.

This is my favorite Steel book. I cried through whole chapters ( a good sign for me). Stongly recommended.

Summary: A good lesson that life isn't fair.
Review: This is by far my favorite Danielle Steel book I've read. I liked the plot and characters, and the style in which it was written seemed very real. Being German myself, I was impressed how Mrs. Steel brought out the fact that during WWII, not all Germans were Nazis. Many were innocent victims as well, like Ariana and her family. But all books have a flaw, and I was a little annoyed that Ariana was always hasty to love and marry. All in all though, this novel really tugs at your heart. Beautiful job, Mrs. Steel.

Summary: Her Best
Review: This was the first Danielle Steel book I ever read many years ago and it's still her best. In some of her later books she loses the magic of this one.
