Rating: Summary: Realistic/Quality reading Review: I loved this book: couldn't put it down. The realistic facts were well researched and notated. You could feel the joyful and painful times the characters were going through.
Rating: Summary: Heart wretching young love pulled me in. Review: As I read this book, I found myself crying out for young Katie Lapp. She found love once, and she's scared to find it again. She can't seem to let go of Daniel and longs for him again. I found the book very exilerating and suspensful. I read this for a book review for one of my classes and I can't wait to give the review. All my complements to Beverly Lewis, keep on writing.
Rating: Summary: One of My Two Favorites!! Review: This is one of the top two books I've ever read--and I've read LOTS! I don't usually cry over a book, but I certainly did over "The Shunning." The characters, especially Katie, are incredibly "3-D," and the book reveals quite a bit about the Amish way of life by showing, not telling. Don't miss this series!
Rating: Summary: great book for all ages! Review: I thought Iwas right there in the book. It really was one of the best books I have read. I just started "The confession" the second book in the series. If you read "The shunning " you got to read this one.I love your books Beverly!!
Rating: Summary: Wonderfully inspiring Review: I started with this book out of curiosity. When I had finished it, I couldn't wait to read the next one in line. After I read the second book I had to wait in order to read the third book because it had not yet arrived in the mail. I love this series and would love to read more books about these characters.
Rating: Summary: Excellant!!!!!! Review: This book is really good. It was about a girl named Katie who found out she wasn't really Amish and left the Amish to find her real Mom.
Rating: Summary: Excellent reading Review: I thought the book was very interesting. It was quite believable. I do not know much about the Amish religion, but the book gave a lot of insight into the Amish. I would recommend this book for anyone to read. It was a good clean book, no offensive words.
Rating: Summary: Excellent book I didn't want to put it down. Review: I loved this book. It gave an indepth look at the Amish people. From thier daily lives to their different belives. If you are curios about the Amish as I was this explains a lot in a fiction fomat. It was wounderful romance. I didn't want to put it down and I could wait till the next book in the sires came out. If you like Christain Romance Try reading The "DR. Cheney Duvall" series. It one of the few series I have got through all the way up the latest book and still wanted more.
Rating: Summary: The first book in a "can't put it down" series..... Review: This book is the first of three excellent books. You will find yourself crying and feeling as though you are right there with Katie. I highly recommend this book and the ones that follow. I'm only a Freshman in High School and I felt my life being put in perspective. A must read for any young Christian woman or someone who is finding themself yearning for something that just isn't there.
Rating: Summary: I couldn't put it down! Review: This book really made me examine my own life and how I relate to my family, friends, and the "worldly ways" around me. I finished the whole set of Lancaster series books in three days. They were that good! The only problem is that I want the author to continue on. I want to know more about what happens in each character's life-not only Katie's but Mary, Rebecca, etc. I feel like I know them now! Please write more.
