Summary: A good story
Review: I picked up Ms. Michaels novel at her signing. I'd never heard of her before, but now I am definitely a fan. I read this book in a week, which is GOOD for me because I am so busy. I was captivated from the first chapter when dad fell out of the window (I was like, no he didn't!). I am definitely passing this along and look forward to your next novel. You are definitely a writer.

Review: I really enjoyed this book. I liked the fact that the story line offered a twist and didn't have a woman desperatly looking for a man for a change. I also enjoyed the way the story was written. This author has her own style that I really can't put into words, but I can say that her writing style is distinctive from so many other African American Writers. Most of the characters were well developed although maybe the father could have been developed just a tinny winny bit more. But it was "All Good."Overall, this is a great book and hard to believe that this author is a first time writer. Great job and I look forward to the next book by this author.

Review: I thought that this was a great book! I loved Alton and hated to see him and Vanella part ways. She had me caught up in there like I was Vanella though. She has a way of describing things and people and pulling you into the story. And the story has so many twists and turns. It was a ride with a great ending. First book? Job well done!

Review: I truly enjoyed this book. The places were vivid and the characters were real. The author did a great job describing the surroundings to make you experience the scenes. It was a fast paced novel also. She has colorful writing that makes you laugh and feel the emotions. I thought she did a great job.

Review: I was first drawn in by the hook! From the moment on, I was captured. She is a very descriptive writer and you feel like you're in the story. I loved the new story line. It is hard to believe that this is this writer's first book. You feel like you know each character in detail and feel what they feel. This is the best book I read from a new author. Keep up the good work!

Review: Kudos to this new writer. This was a very entertaining book that also left the reader with something to think about. I think it's high time that young women evaluate their reasons for getting married and consider the commitment that it takes, rather than rushing into something because that's what they're supposed to do. Every woman needs a little bit of Vanella in her, I think. Also, this writer has a descriptive style that is very endearing. I look forward to reading more from this author and soon.
