Summary: a truly believable romantic book!
Review: I had trouble getting past the first couple of pages about the loons, but once I got past that, I could not put the book down. It was clean and suspensful, made my mad, and loved how she added the twist of romance!

Rating: 3 stars
Summary: My first of her books, and I was disappointed!
Review: I was disappointed in this book. I did enjoy the fact that it was a good clean book, but felt that it just didn't add up. I am not good at "giving up" on books, but wished I had on this one. I can't really put my finger on what I didn't like....just felt it was a very slow read.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Warm, touching story
Review: This was my first book I've read by Barbara Delinsky and I kept wondering why I haven't read her before. She's great!

Lily Blake's life is shattered when an ambitious newspaperman spreads lies about her having an affair with a newly appointed Cardinal. Her life is immediately turned upside down by reporters, lies, and talk shows. In disgrace, she goes back home to Lake Henry, NH, a place that doesn't hold fond memories.

Lily must face the past and patch things up with her mother. She meets John Kipling, the local newsman and publisher of Lake News. Initially hesitant, Lily finally warms up to John and the two face the allegations together.

Barbara Delinsky has written a warm and touching story that readers will always remember, and more importantly, try to get their hands on all of Ms. Delinsky's previous and future novels.

Summary: Coast Road is a better read
Review: I found this story developed really slowly and I had to push myself to finish. I don't like the way that the author leaves her main characters helpless and floundering until the very end, it frustrates me as a reader!

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Good Book...Good Read...As Usual
Review: Barbara Delinsky has a knack of finding the words to make the reader "feel" the feelings of the character, such as the frustration of Lily with regard to her run-ins with the press, and her confusion as to why no one would believe her side of the story.

Overall, this is a good book, and I would recommend it to all Delinsky fans as well as all fiction lovers.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: a refreshing change
Review: I loved the change of this book from Ms. Delinsky's norm. It started a bit slow, then picked up quickly. It was interesting to see how the Cardinal was quickly absolved of all wrong doing and Lily was forced to shoulder the 'worst' of it from the press. It was a nice change from the norm of sex, violence and gore. I highly reccommend this book.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: What a Wonderful Break from the Usual! Read this Book!
Review: No graphic sex scenes. No gross violence. How did this book make the best seller list? By being a book about values, kindness, home town, family and justice that wins out over pettiness and just basic mean-spiritedness. I really liked this book and I highly recommend it.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Thoroughly enjoyable reading.
Review: In the first few pages of the book, I wondered if I was going to get "into" it. But it didn't take long for the story to get to me. I was surprised how angry I was when I read all that Lily was going through with the invasion of the press. It was a wonderful story, but I wondered why I felt disappointed at the end. John really socked it to the offending media, but something didn't sit well with me about that. I wanted her to be exhonerated, but when it came to be, it was sour.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: One of Barbara Delinsky's BEST
Review: I couldn't put the book down until I finished it. One of Barbara Delinsky's BEST. The characters were real and so was the story. I can only imagine what it must be like to be hounded unmercifully by the press and torn apart for something you didn't do, but were accused of.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Excellent!
Review: I'll admit that I thought this book started off a little slow, but it was wonderful! I fell in love with Lily and all her heartaches. It was nice to read a romantic "mystery" where the good guys come out on top.
