Rating: Summary: I couldn't put it down Review: Once I got into this book I could not put it down, Barbara Delinsky has a way of making me feel like I know her characters personally. I felt sorry for them, I was angry with them and relieved when young Michael woke up. I have reread it several times because of its very real themes - friendship, cheating, jealousy, power and love - and they are not so ridiculous that they aren't believable like some books. Definitely a keeper!
Rating: Summary: This book was wonderful! Review: Barbara Delinsky has a way of grabbing your interest right from the start. It was so hard to put down. I wanted to cheer for Sam and Annie and cry for Teke
Rating: Summary: Excellent Book Review: I absolutely loved this book! I read it in only 3 days. The characters are so believable and real. You feel every anguished moment that the families are going through. Barbara Delinsky has a way of making you feel as though you really know these people. How my heart bled for Annie and how I thought J.D. was an awful baby. This is the second book I have read by this author and I have just purchased two more. She is great! You won't be disappointed by this book.
Rating: Summary: ONE OF THE BEST BOOKS I HAVE READ ALL YEAR!!!! Review: I felt very sad for Teke. She had to deal with so much. However, I also felt sad for Annie, who lost a very close friend. J.D. and J.S. deserve whatever come their way. I hope there is a sequel (at least on the story line of Jon and Leigh). It would be interesting to see how that turns out. This book is a MUST READ!!!!
Rating: Summary: whats up w/ all these review? Review: i hated all the characters, they were all selfish and stupid. the hero (cant even remember his name) cheats on his wife with a close friend of his wife's, (the friend sleeps with his cause shes thinking of her lost love, awwwww!) and he sleeps with her cause he won a case and he always sleeps with his wife after he wins a case, but since his wife wasnt around he slept with the first woman he came in contact too, THEN he blames his wife for his indiscretion, because she wasnt around when he NEEDED to sleep with her, as if hes a little boy who has to be followed around so he wont be misbehaved. he was such a jerk, but his wife was the bigger fool for forgiving him. i've always believed in forgiveness, but not in being a fool, if he cheated on her once, its going to happen again. when you let someone get away with doing something wrong, their going to do it again. she should have forgiven him, and the dumped him, so she wouldnt have to live with the sadness of his betrayal.
Rating: Summary: So Good Review: I loved this story about real people who make the wrong choices and suffer for them. Adultrey isn't an easy topic, but this author is a master at making me believe her truth. I agree with the reviewer who called it gut-wrenching. So highly recommended. This book will make you cry.
Rating: Summary: Great Book!! Review: I owned this book before and loaned it out. I never got it back so I bought another copy. That's how much I love this book. The central characters are so human, and real. The story is excellent. I read this book about once a year. I love it every time. It's a keeper.
Rating: Summary: Great book! Review: I really enjoyed this book and the prescence of so many characters. I liked this book because it deviated from the normal "good guy / bad guy" theme. This book was more like real life. The author showed the faults and strong points of all of the characters. It was easy reading but well written.
Rating: Summary: A Must Read Review: I thought this was one of the best books I have ever read. It gets you right from the start and keeps you throughout. You connect to the characters. They come alive. I didn't want to put the book down. This was my first Delinsky read and i've bought 3 more books since. I really enjoy her books!
Rating: Summary: Sam should have decked J.D. ! Wonderful characters! Review: This "marriage" between two families was both heartwarming and heartbreaking at the same time. Annie's patience with Sam and her friendship with Teke are what kept me turning each page with anticipation. Barbara Delinsky did such a fantastic job drawing on each characters feelings, she made this story come alive. I look forward to a sequel. It would be so great to read more on Jon and Leigh, and hopefully J.D. & J.S. will get what's coming to them
