Summary: Easy reading
Review: I found it to be a simple romance story. While the story was sweet and made me cry at times, I felt the characters could have been better developed. The storyline came together too conveniently and easily. Overall, I would recommend it if you were in the mood for easy reading.

Rating: 3 stars
Summary: Great book if the ending had been better.
Review: I picked up Nicholas Sparks' "Message In A Bottle" upon the recommendation of a friend who had enjoyed "The Notebook." I was instantly drawn to the book with it's cover of a ship and words floating in the ocean.

The book is about a divorced newspaper columnist named Theresa who takes a vacation in Cape Cod and discovers a corked bottle with a message while jogging one morning along the beach.

I loved how Sparks allowed Garrett to show sensitivity and emotions and even tears to both Theresa and his deceased wife Catherine. Something that is very rare in a world where men are to be macho.

The messages Garrett writes are beautifully written and will no doubt touch readers emotions. They will even inspire you to write your own love letter's to someone you deeply love.

What I didn't like about the book was the ending.

Summary: "Message in a Bottle" is an excellent book!!
Review: I love the way Nicholas Sparks' words brought out all the emotions out of me as I read the book. "Message in a Bottle" is such an heartfelt novel that I couldn't find myself to put it down. I live in Beaufort and I go to school on the Coast in Morehead City and everytime I hear the ocean and see all the sailboats, I keep thinking about "Message in a bottle." My eyes just start tearing up as if I actually knew the characters in the story. I just love the book and I recommend this book to everyone!

Summary: disappointing
Review: I really enjoyed "The Notebook" and thought I had found with Sparks a new favourite author. But the "Message" was a waste of time: the story seems unbelieveable to me, the characters are so unpleasant that I could not identify me with them. I did not like the whole story.

Summary: A Halfway Good Book
Review: Though I though Garret was a major weeny, and needed to grow up, I continued to the end hoping for a mature resolution. The book kept me feeling that it could only get better. After the ending I was enraged. Not only was it an unhappy ending, but it was so incredibly sappy. I felt so cheated and if it had not been the property of the library I would have run it over. Thank goodness I did not waste money on this book.

Summary: Loved It Loved It Loved it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Review: If you want to escape daily life then read this book!! I loved the notebook and this one was just as good. Don't read this book if you want to be overwhelmed with literary techniques. Its just like the movies, you read it to escape!! Don't listen to pompous critiques!!!

Nicholas Sparks is extremely romantic, and the letters in this book are beautiful. They even inspired me on writting a love letter to someone i love deeply. Summary: I was hooked after the first chapter
Review: I really liked how Mr. Sparks told the story. I was attached to the characters immediately. The stroy was very unique and it was difficult to set down the book. This was the first book that I read by Mr. Sparks and I have now purchased his other book...The Notebook

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: An amazing read; a non-stop emotional rollercoaster
Review: After reading The Notebook I waited with great anticipation for Mr. Sparks' next novel to come out. Message In a Bottle was so undeniably love stricken. It brought out the essece of what true love is all about as well as devling into what deep love and loss do to a person's life. Sparks' brings you into the character's lives so that you feel as though the incidents in the book are happening to you. A must read; I couldn't put it down.
