Summary: A big disappointment
Review: After reading "The Notebook" I eagerly looked forward to "Message in a Bottle". What started out to be a promising read slowly became insipid and banal. I finished the book only in the hope that it would improve. It didn't. Still, I'm looking forward to Mr. Sparks third book, "A Walk to Remember" because "The Notebook" was THAT good.

Summary: What a great book!
Review: Upon beginning this novel, I never imagined that it would touch me so. Even though it seemed a little slow in the beginning...the story quickly reels you in...and keeps you guessing until the very end. I have not had such an emotional feeling about a book in a long time! I can relate a lot to what is being said within those pages...and I think that many other readers can too. Good going, Mr. Sparks! :) I have not seen the movie yet...but I still can't imagine Kevin Costner in the role of Garrett...he just doesn't fit the part. I am thinking of skipping the movie for that very purpose. I don't want to be too disappointed! However, I HIGHLY recommend the book to anyone in need of a "GOOD" love/life story!

Summary: A great book
Review: This is one of the best books I've ever read. The movie, as usual, does the book no justice. You don't have to be a fan of love stories to enjoy this book.

Summary: This book is so touching.
Review: I never get this interested in the books that I read. It turned out I read this book in about two days, I could not put it down. I definitely reccomend it.

Summary: This book was very good!!!
Review: I loved the book, it made me really think about the relationships I have with people I care about. I realized that nothing should be taken for granted because you never know when you're going to lose what you love with all your heart. There's a time to hold on and a time to let go and I thought that this book made made the letting go gentle and real. I love the way it's written.

Summary: read the book, skip the movie
Review: I read the review from the reader in IL and had to laugh because she loved the movie and didn't like the book. I was the exact opposite. I didn't care for the movie but loved the book. In the movie, I wasn't convinced they were in love. The book was much deeper. I thought the movie portrayed him as a bitter person and I didn't see that in the book. I couldn't wait to see the movie either but when I finally got to see it, I was disappointed. The book was much, much better. However, they both ended sadly and I was disappointed about that. I like a book to end leaving me feel good, not sad.

Review: This is one of the best books I've read! It's so much better than the movie. The movie was good but the book rocks!!!!

Summary: See the movie, skip the book.
Review: I didn't think it could be done... This is the first time I have ever found a movie to be better than the book. If I had read the book first, I never would have bothered seeing the movie. The movie is a love story that left me in tears. I shed no tears when reading the book. I wasn't convinced they were in love. The impression was more that they were both lonely and needed some nookie. I say three cheers for the screenwriter who took a so-so story and masterfully improved on it.

Summary: Sparks did it again!
Review: "The Notebook" was fantastic. I just had to see if this one was too. It was! The sleeves of my pj's were soak 'n wet from crying...I loved this book. I can't wait to read his 3rd one "A Walk to Remember"
