Review: After I finished reading this book in the bookstore, the first thought on my mind was: "What was all the hype surrounding the book about?". To say it was nothing out of the ordinary is an understatement. Virtually no plot. Dialogue left alot to be desired. I can sum up the story right now: Country girl goes to Washington DC. Hooks up with an RA that eventually introduces her to the sorority. She gets turned out by many men and is "sexually liberated" in the end. Maybe if the story had another subplot--and a main one to begin with--it would be much better. Even the sex scenes, in my opinion, weren't up to par to her previous works. The ones concerning APF in Sex Chronicles I were alot better. I'm not slamming Zane because she does have talent. (Addicted was a straight up classic.) She did do some good things, such as telling the "story" from three different points of view, but I didn't know enough about the characters personalities' to really care...except that they liked sex.Maybe I can see why some people liked it if that's ALL they were looking for, but this book didn't do it for me, and I don't think it's worth spending $$ on.

Summary: This is a great read!!!
Review: I enjoyed this book so much. I read it in less than two hours. Zane is a terrific writer. I loved the main character's resolve in getting in touch with her sexual self. I read Addicted and enjoyed it immensely. Zane does not dissappoint and I am looking forward to more great works from her. You have a follower in me!

Review: ok, if you are thinking this book is going to be all about sex, think again. while it does have some interesting sexual moments, the book is more about the sexual and emotional birth of a country girl.... the title character Mary Ann is moving from South Dakota to the big city of Washington DC to attend law school. books and "more black people than she has ever seen", arent the only things the Mary Ann finds in Chocolate City! Mary Ann not only finds love but the sexual freedom and enpowerment that she never knew.

Summary: Sizzling Sorority Sisters....
Review: If you have ever thought of joining a sorority, rest assured this sorority is like no other you will encounter, I'm sure. I'm most impressed that a short story that I didn't want to end as quickly as it did, in Zane's first short story Compilation The Sex Chronicles-Shattering the Myth, was expanded into a full novel. This is a novel that chronicles the intake process to a very secret society of women. This is a wonderful face paced, action filled read. A sensual read, THE SISTERS OF APF, contains plot twists that will just blow your mind. Character progression keeps you glued to this book to see how far Mary Ann will travel. Almost believable that there could be a nationally recognized sorority of this nature, Zane has woven a masterful tale in her signature style. Not for the faint of heart, reading this book will definitely elevate the blood pressure, it is wonderfully written. The imagery is very vivid, and begs to be read in a day's time. Pick up this book if you're a serious fan of Zane' or you've heard so much about her, this is a wonderful introduction to her. In THE SISTERS OF APF you will meet Mary Ann Ferguson, the eldest daughter of nine children raised on a chicken farm in South Dakota. Mary Ann has received her undergraduate degree while staying at home to tend to her brothers and sisters but is about to embark upon a journey that takes her to Washington DC to attend Law School and also allows her to bid farewell to her high school sweetheart, Clarence. Upon arriving she meets her resident assistant Patricia Reynolds. The two begin a guarded friendship. As the plot thickens, the reader soon discovers that Mary Ann is a novice at love and relationships. The freedoms of traveling so far could go to a girls head, but she does a good job of controlling herself until she falls for a third year student named Trevor, the captivating play boy of campus. As the relationship between Mary Ann and Trevor matures, so the friendship deepens between Patricia and Mary Ann. Patricia realizes APF potential in Mary Ann. Patricia invites and introduces Mary Ann to the members of the DC chapter of APF. There we meet Olive, a well to do plastic surgeon, who is president of APF. All the members of this sorority are upwardly mobile women who have acclaimed reputations and harbor this secret society dear to their hearts. You can assume that nobody thinks Mary Ann is a suitable candidate for membership. Keep reading I assure you Mary Ann really gets involved.

Review: Good Lawd!!! I have read all but one book (which I'm going to get ASAP) by Zane and let me tell you that she is one of the best writers I have ever heard about!! This book has topped all the books I've read. These sorors are the freakiest women I've ever heard of. They do everthing and when I say everything, I mean EVERYTHING. This book will also give you some ideas on how to take control in the bedroom and give your man one goal: PLEASING YOU. If you need some spice in your life this will DEFINITELY do it for you. Trust me. You HAVE to read this book and the other many books Zane has written. Zane keep doing what cha doing cause I am loving every minute of it!!!

Summary: ZONING WITH ZANE!
Review: I am in AWE! The Sisters of the APF is, in a word, Awesome! I loved this book so much that I had to nickname Zane's writing style: Zoning with Zane and Zane's Zone. Truly, Zane has a ZONE that she owns all by herself. No other author/writer/novelist can touch! As I stated in my Reading Group's review of The Sisters of the APF: As M.C. Hammer's song says: YOU CAN'T TOUCH THIS!!!!!!! Believe me, you can't! I rate this book as 5+++++++++++++ Stars!!!!!! This book takes you OUT THERE! WAY OUT!!!!!!!! I read this book within 2 days! Couldn't put it down! If you want to Zone with Zane, I say buy it, put this book in your collection along with Zane's other books, put some plastic over it, don't lend it out for other people to read, tell them to buy their own. LOL Be selfish, be very selfish. LOL Zane, I say Zone-On, My SiStah, Zone-On!!!!!! You didn't just orbit the Earth, you created your own Universe!!!!!!
