Rating: Summary: Simply Wonderful! Review: A wonderful read. This book had everything. I'm hoping for a sequel. I read this book in two sittings. The characters were flawless. I particularly liked the two story lines running together. I told all my friends to buy this book.
Rating: Summary: AWESOME! Review: After all the glowing reviews I purchased this book. What a waste of money! The story line was not bad, but this read like a first time author. Phil(E), Rick(E), Rox(E), Grac(E), Lain(E), it seemed like every characters name sounded the same. And, who in real life repeats the persons name they are talking to in each sentence? It seemed like just so much filler. I have enjoyed previous books by this author, but not again.

Rating: Summary: Another winner Review: Another GREAT read by Fern Michaels!! She always knows just where to go, and how to get you there! Just when you're ready to put it down for the night, she grabs you again. Way to go FERN!
Rating: Summary: Wonderful Wonderful Story Review: As always Fern Michaels writes about family and this new story is about family. A family where no one is perfect. A family with problems and issues that they all come to terms with. Each character is so wonderfully drawn that you know people just like them. I enjoyed this book from the first to the last page and was sorry to see it come to an end and by the way, the ending was so perfect it brought tears to my eyes.
Rating: Summary: AWESOME! Review: Crown Jewel is really a "feel-good" book. I truly enjoyed all the wonderful characters and the amazing story line. Another great book to add to my collection. I would love to see a sequel about the lives of Max and Tyler. PLEASE!!!

Rating: Summary: Excellent read!! Review: I buy any book written by Fern Michaels as I know it will be a really great story. She never disappoints. She always manages to leave tears in my eyes and a smile in my heart as I finish her books. She is a teriffic story teller. I hope she never stops writing.
Rating: Summary: Exceptional Review: I found this to be an all together different kind of Fern Michaels book because the main characters were all male. For this book, it was a good thing. I enjoyed it immensely and found it refreshing. Another thing that I liked about Crown Jewel was the interaction between the characters that came across as exceptionally real. It was light hearted in spots, sad in parts and from time to time I found myself cheering for the good guys. A very satisfying read. Oh,yeah, I liked the episode with the dogs. Dogs in stories bring out the best in people. Joan Silva
Rating: Summary: horrible Review: I have only read a couple Fern Michaels books and this will be the last one. Sadly, what I disliked about this book was typical of all the books I've read by Michaels. The dialogue reads like it was written by a 14 year old. There are no plot twists and it is awfully predictable. I weeped for us as a society when I realized that this is considered a novel for the masses. The phone book is better written.
Fern's crimes against humanity:
Characters hating each other and falling in love over the course of a paragraph? Check.
Overreaction to a common ailment, like, oh, say, a sunburn? Check. (Hey, at least she didn't kill this girl. I read one of her novels where she killed off someone by staying in the shower too long. Seriously).
Introduction of a dog in the most dramatic way possible and trying to squeeze it into every aspect of the story? Check.
Annoying dialogue that sounds like someone with ADD? (Even though I'm a doctor, I like curing sunburn victims on my vacation. Do you have a car? I would like to go to St. Johns. I'm a big steel drum fan.) Check.
OK, maybe I'm being a little hard, but this book is TERRIBLE. It is poorly written and uninterested and outright frustrating to read. And the worst part is - this is exactly like every other book this author has written. Please, take it from me, pass on this one.
