Rating: Summary: Great Book Review: This book should appeal to most women. I found that I really don't have any "real" friends compared to the women in Patricia's story. It is a great summer read, one you don't want to put it down.I loved it and have shared it with others. I've even told strangers how good it is and to get a copy. I work in a college book store and visitors are often looking for something to read on the way home. Have sold many copies of this book and have heard great reveiws from those who have read it. Great job Patricia.......looking to read Circle of Three.
Rating: Summary: Wow, This Is A Must Read! Review: I read, horror, type books, like Lee Child "The Killing Floor" excellent by the way. Anyway, I picked up this book one day in the book store when I was feeling low, and it has turned my life around, so to speak. It was fantastic, it make me want to get into a womens group and be womenly. It was just perfect. The book is extremely well written and not confusing at all for 4 people to keep track of. Patricia Gaffney writes beautifully. Each chapter is set up with a certain person talking, one chapter, Rudy, next Emma and so on. This way you don't get so hooked up in the she said, she said. It was great. I just finished it this weekend. I'm going to read another Lee Child book then I'm going to read "Circle of Three" by, Patricia Gaffney. She has opened a new area of reading for me. :) Hope you get this book and enjoy it! With Loves & Hugs, Heather E. Nashville, TN Age 29

Patricia Gaffney brings to life the characters in a way that is realistic and touching. I fell in love with all of them. I coulnd't put the book down. The original copy I read was on loan from a friend and I liked it so much I ordered a copy for my own home library.
Rating: Summary: The unbreakable bonds of friendship. Review: I might never have picked this book up had it not been a book club selection...am I ever glad I had the chance to read it! After you have read the intertwining stories of Emma, Rudy, Lee, and Isabel, you will never again take your closest friends for granted. Each of these women has a tremendous obstacle to overcome in her life and it is only with the unwavering support of the "Saving Graces" (the name bestowed on their group which meets monthly for dinner and talk) that they are able to come to terms with themselves. From the very beginning (bad first impressions and all) through all the turmoil, tears, and laughter, you will be caught up in the love and admiration these women feel for each other. In the end, you will want to call up your best friend and tell her how important she is to you, I guarantee it.
Rating: Summary: Reminds us why it's great to be women... Review: This book is a deeply moving, powerful story about four women whose lives are intertwined because of their "dinner" group. Their stories are told through their own eyes and eachothers. This book appealed to me on so many different levels. It is filled with humanity, friendship, love, humor, depth and spirit. I saw myself and friends so many times in the book. It made me laugh, cry, think, be angry AND want to read it again. Please pass it on to friends, you'll be glad that you did. We all need to be a part of The Saving Graces!
Rating: Summary: Keep reading!!! Review: The first 50 pages of this book turned me off!!! I was looking for a "good friends bond from childhood" sort of book!!! But, I found that good friends can bond AFTER childhood!! It was funny, touching, and REAL!!! In this fast-paced world, one CAN find true friends if she just keeps working at it. I did find it a little unbeleivable that four people, somewhat unconnected, could come together and become such good friends in DC!!!! But, that's why we read books!!!
Rating: Summary: Typical Mass Market Work Review: This novel was readable if you keep in mind that is commercial fiction and not literary fiction. Also keep in mind that all the elements of a summer read are here as well. What kept me going was the friendship of the women.
Rating: Summary: Classic girly friendship book Review: I imagine that most of us women have at least two or three really close girlfriends ~~ ones that are there for you when you need them ~~ a divorce, separation, death of a spouse, break-up, child being born ~~ whatever ~~ and this book is like that. You cannot imagine your life without these essential women in your life ~~ and this book will only enrich your reading life because these four women are like us. Emma, Rudy, Lee and Isabel are sisters of the heart and soul ~~ they've been through it all ~~ cancer, divorce, adultery ~~ and they talk through everything. They have relationships with each other that only women with close friends can only understand ~~ and others envy. In this book, they're put to the test when something unimaginable happens ~~ and Graffney shows how each of them survive this crucial test. It's not a secret that I enjoy reading books on women's friendships and relationships with one another ~~ because I am fortunate enough to have close friends to rely on during my dark times recently. This is one book that I really appreciate because it is about friendship, love and courage. Rudy, Emma, Lee and Isabel are not easily forgotten ~~ I have friends who are like them. But here's a warning ~~ you must have a box of kleenexs handy ~~ it is a tearjerker ~~ and don't read parts of it in public ~~ Graffney really tugs at your heartstrings. And when you've finished this book, be sure to pass it onto your best friend and tell her just how important she is to you.
