Summary: Fabulous.
Review: This is one of the best books I've read in a long, long time. As a fellow author with 8 published books, I can only say I wish I had written it. This is one you'll want to re-read.

Summary: This book is A WORK OF ART!!!
Review: It never fails to amaze me how some authors are able to create living souls... just with words. The characters in Ms. Gaffney's stories always seem so real to me... but she outdid herself with THE SAVING GRACES. Isabel... Lee... Emma... Rudy...THEY REALLY EXIST... don't they?! KUDOS to Ms. Gaffney... and thanks for a GREAT READ!!!

Summary: A great summer read!
Review: I went into a big bookstore, and this book was stacked out front. I really liked the cover! So I picked up the book, it looked fairly good, and I started reading it over coffee in the cafe. Had to buy it and finish it! Most of the others posting here have said it all. Very enjoyable.

Summary: Best book of the year!
Review: This book moved me. I think that says it all

Summary: I want to send this book to everyone!
Review: Saving Graces is like a rich, tantalizing chocolate mousse you savor bite by delicious bite -- or in this case, chapter by entralling chapter. I'd read a chapter, then close the book and reflect on it, feeling as though I was right in the middle of the situation. Excellent writing, in my opinion! Any time an author can make the reader a part of the book, you have a winner.

Summary: The best book I've read this year!
Review: I've had the opportunity to read more books this year than ever in my life. I've been moved by many and have enjoyed a wide, diverse group. But none moved me like this book. This book blew me away! My first thought was, "how did Ya-Ya get so much press when by far this is so superior." All the characters were rich and a bit like everyone I know and am. It made me laugh out loud and cry. I could not put this book down. I read it in 1 day. I did not sleep I swear! I've told all my friends to do themselves a favor and read this one!

Summary: What a lovely book.
Review: This one snuck up on me. A friend gave it to me--"You have to read this!"--and she was right. Now I'm making all MY friends read it. It's funny, honest, sweet, sad, real. Especially real. I agree with everyone who said the women in this novel felt like their own best friends. I liked Emma best; my friend liked Rudy. I expect everybody will have a different favorite, it's that kind of book. Absolutely wonderful!

Summary: A Truly Wonderful Book
Review: I absolutely loved this book! Time seemed to fly by as I read and did nothing else. I could relate with a part of all the characters. This book makes you laugh, cry, and sympathize for all of the women involved. A great book to pass along to all of your very own 'Saving Graces'!

Summary: Terrific Read
Review: "The Saving Graces" is a wonderful book about relationships thru the years. The characters were people you would like to know and be involved with. Normally I am eager to come to the end of a book to bring everything to conclusion, but this time I was left wanting more. I hope there will be a sequel.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: FAR MORE DIVINE THAN THE YA-YAS!!!
Review: After all the hype that DIVINE SECRETS got, I am so happy to discover THE SAVING GRACES. It is a much better book. It's funny, highly readable, and poignant. These buddies aren't alcoholic child-beating, child-rapers. They are REAL women. The flashbacks are fluid and gripping. No obvious plot devices, like a scrapbook.

It's the best novel I've read in years.
