Rating: Summary: It's not one of Ms. Brown's best, but still worthy of readin Review: Looking for a book filled with witty comebacks and innuendoes? No need to look further, this book's got them all. Sunny Chandler's return to her hometown after three years brought back old gossips alive. Sunny, who was determined not to show her hurt, not just came back to hometown for her bestfriend's wedding, she came back in style to show the people that she was no longer a shy miss from Latham Green, but one tough city girl. Ty Beaumont, the town's new sherrif, who was fascinated with this city girl wasn't going to let Sunny get away just like that. He made a wager to lure Sunny to his bed within a week. But of course Sunny wouldn't give in so easily. And that's when the plot thickens. What I like in this book is the two characters--Sunny and Ty-- are so explosive that you might find yourself singed by their explosion. I guarantee you won't be bored.
Rating: Summary: CERTAINLY NOT HER BEST.... Review: OK, MAYBE JUST READING IT WOULD HAVE BEEN BETTER THAN LISTENING TO IT ON TAPE. THE READER WAS SIMPLY AWFUL. SANDRA BROWNS BOOKS ARE BETTER THAN THIS AUDIO VERSION. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME ON IT!
Rating: Summary: Smooth operator Review: Sandra Brown's latest reissue from her Loveswept Romance Sunny Chandler is clearly outdated in its theme. The haughty alpha male and town sheriff of Latham Green Ty Beaumont finds himself intrigued by the return of scandalized Sunny Chandler. The scorching beauty is rumoured to have jumped out of a marriage. As the story unfolds, the flawed characters are spurned by love - and are drawn towards each other. Feminists may sneer at Ty's manhandling but maestro Sandra Brown peppers the unbelieveable tale with heated dialogues and fast wits. It is clearly not Ms. Brown's best but as usual she is a smooth operator at testing the limits of credibility.
Rating: Summary: Two Unlikeable Characters Find Each Other and Fall in Lust Review: This is definitely not Sandra Brown's best book. What in the world did the two main characters see in each other except for physical attraction? I am an avid reader of Sandra Brown's books, and enjoy the way she builds chemistry between the female and male main characters. I didn't feel that there was ever any true chemistry between Sunny Chandler and Ty Beaumont. Sunny seemed to walk around with constant PMS, acting irritable and haughty at the drop of a hat. Ty's self confident arrogance and never ending lecherous remarks made my skin crawl. He deserved to be severely slapped. I did not like either of these characters, and therefore, wasn't interested in the romance. I didn't understand how they could be in love with each other, because other than the sexual chemistry, there really weren't many positive interactions between them. I also thought that all the near-miss sexual encounters between Sunny and Ty got boring and ridiculous. So, if you're interested in a romance about two very unlikeable, unpleasant characters, this is the book for you. If not, you may want to pass on this one.
Rating: Summary: Sunny Chandler's Return Review: Typical Sandra Brown plot. I love books set in Louisiana, be it Brown Garwood or whoever, so this and White Hot were definite GOOD ones for me. When's the next one, Sandra?
