Summary: Nights in Rodanthe
Review: Meaningless drivel. The characters are flat and lathargic and completely lacking in chemistry. The book goes on and on, but the people never actually do anything. Characters generally reveal themselves through their actions, but these paper thin people just sit around thinking about themselves and their terrible lives.

Rating: 1 stars
Summary: Overdone
Review: Seriously, if you read one Nicholas Sparks book, you've read them all. This book was boring. Typical Sparks. His books are becoming tired. The basic plot of all his stories are two strangers fall in love and one of them dies. And it's all supposed to be sad and tear-jerking. Like another person said, this book made me laugh at it's absurdity. I like to guess which character will die before I even pick up the book.

Summary: Sparks does it again!
Review: I am a sucker for a good romance book, and Nicholas Sparks never fails to provide this to me. I can not usually stay up late reading a book, but I read Nights in Rodanthe in one sitting. I was up into the wee hours of the night with a box of Kleenex within reach at all times. Tears were rolling down my face as I finished the last few chapters.

The story began when Adrienne feels obligated to help her daughter, Amanda, after her husband dies tragically. She sits down with her daughter at the kitchen table to reveal a secret that she has kept with her most of her life. She feels that this secret will help her daughter move on with her life. The secret is only a word long, but it has life changing effects.

I would recommend Nights in Rodanthe, to anyone who has ever been in love. This story is very easy to relate to and really puts life into prospective. The theme of this book is love and sacrifice. It teaches that sometimes you have to let go to move on with life. It also shows that love can be found when you least expect it and in some of the most unpredictable places. It truly is a great book, and I would recommend it to anyone.

Summary: Nights In Rodanthe
Review: This book has received a lot of mixed reviews, but I really enjoyed it. I am a SUCKER for romance so NIGHTS IN RODANTHE was just my cup of tea. Break out the economy size box of Kleenex because this one's a tear-jerker. The last time I cried over a love story the way I did with this one was about 6 or 7 years ago when "Titanic" came out.

Nicholas Sparks is a great writer. The progression of love between Adrienne and Paul was so overwhelming; I had butterflies in my stomach. I sat on the train on my way to work just smiling as I read. I felt like I was a part of the story, literally feeling every iota of emotion expressed upon the pages.

Yes it is sappy and syrupy sweet, but aren't those the key ingredients for the perfect romance novel? Aren't you supposed to feel like (if you're not already) falling in love?

The end was so poignant, and I still can't get over it. NIGHTS IN RODANTHE will touch your heart and warm your soul. This is a story that I will ALWAYS remember.
