Summary: Well done
Review: Dickey once again proves that you don't have to be woman to write about a woman's experience. I felt the characters hurt, pain, desires, insecurities and sexual personages through out the book. Good job, good read.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Like no other Eric J. Does it again
Review: This book was off the hook, the way the book ended was too real. All your novels are like little movies you never want to end cause they seem to be so realistic. Even though these books are fictional they seem to be so real. You and Donald Goines are the only 2 authors I enjoy so far, you both capture reality to a T when it comes to writing. I am waiting for your next book to release.
I have read "The other women, Cheaters, Friends and Lovers, Between lovers, and I am trying to get thru the rest.

Summary: Not the Usual EJD book
Review: I just finished reading the book and I have to admit that it was a bit dissapointing. The Other Woman was a much better book. Naughty or nice really did not do it for me this time. By the title I expected something to keep me reading but the end of the book was just flat. It is a good novel, but not EJD's best work.

Summary: Umm disappointed
Review: EJD introduces us to the McBroom sisters, who in the midst of living their own lives find a way to remain a part of her siblings life. I enjoyed the closeness of the sisters as a unit but individually we were cheated.

This is the first time I felt no affinity for the characters in a EJD book. I am very disappointed that we were left with no real description of Frankie, Livvy or Tommie. The storyline had alot of potential but I could not get beyond the fluff and missing substance. Also we were promised a holiday novel - what happened?

I was very disappointed in this book

Summary: A little spice for the holidays
Review: Enjoyed this book very much. The search for a suitable mate, the husband's mistake along with the deception that the wife felt and the relationship between the three McBroom sisters. Each knowing that no matter how much they may disagree they were always there for each other. Although they did not biologically share the same parents, they could not have been closer. The holidays are about families, friends and sharing and with all of those aspects included in this book, it made really enjoyable reading, not just for the holidays but for anytime.

Summary: A Commercial Write
Review: This book is one of Dickeys worse write. His books are usually fast paced and grabs one's attention from the first chapter . This did not.The characters were a bit too contrived and lack the usual depth. This book was obviously written to meet a very tight deadline. Because of this it was not up to standard. It was however a light Xmas read.

Summary: Very Disappointed
Review: Whenever I go to the bookstore, the first thing I do is check to see if EJD has any new books. I would buy the book without having read the synopsis at the back. But i must say, this book didn't quite do it for me. The best thing about this book was the pretty cover. The book ended and I was like what did I waste my precious time reading. Go buy The Other Woman now, that's a good read.

This is most definitely not his best book.

Summary: Naughty or Nice
Review: It took me a minute to get into the story, but once I did I enjoyed. I love his man's writing Technique, with him you can never tell. Naughty or Nice is one of my least favorites, but I still enjoyed this book overall. I look forward to reading more from EJD, he's my favorite author. Readers also read Friends and Lovers if you have not this is my favorite book.

Summary: I hate Christmas tales!!!!!!
Review: I hate Christmas tales, but I could not resist the urge not to read Eric Jerome Dickey's latest. I was also please that this book was not about mushy Christmas junk. It was reality just set around Christmas. This book was about infidelity, betrayal, emotional issues, sexual hang ups, all types of drama.

I like how Mr. Dickey touched on how women tend to hurt each other worst then men hurt women and how men can use women to play each other and make him look like he has done nothing wrong, which is so true.

If you want to read a Christmas tale, without all the Christmas this is the one for you, but if you think this book has a lot of hot steamy sex that everyone else is talking about, well it leaves a lot to be desired. This book is just a good fast read.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: NOT A CHRISTMAS TALE, BUT STILL A GOOD READ.
Review: I always look forward to a new novel by Eric Jerome Dickey, having read all of his previous published works, and found NAUGHTY OR NICE to be up to his expected standards.

Although the novel was not really a Christmas story as promoted (despite its occasional reference to the holiday season), it was a fascinating relationship tale nevertheless--from the candid exploration of step-sister interactions, to the less revealing glimpse into the trials experienced between friends, lovers, parents, and spouses.

As usual, the dialogue was crisp, the characters realistic, and the plot absorbing. The novel's single flaw was the ending--not because it was too "rushed", as expressed by other readers, but because it was incongruous with the tone and temperament of the rest of the novel. For example, "Panther" devolved from an exciting young woman into a caricature, and the tarnish splashed on "Carpe's" true nature served only to render "Livvy" a fool--at least in regard to her people-reading skills.

If EJD had ended this novel at the point just three sentences shy of the second to the last chapter (the chapters weren't numbered after all) and omitted the last chapter altogether, then the book would have been a much better read. No one is perfect, though, and NAUGHTY OR NICE is definitely a keeper.
