Summary: Not worth my time, but maybe a 15 year old female's.
Review: Not for adults, a good adolescent's book. Predictable. I was disappointed.

Summary: The most wonderful author known
Review: I have never read books by an author that I loved and related to so much as the ones by Nicholas Sparks. I thoroughly enjoyed this book, as I did his others. Not one proves to be better than another. When I read his books, I am guaranteed to cry for hours on end. All I wish for when I am finished is for him to come out with another book.

Summary: Charity Anyone?
Review: This novel was another heart-wrenching love story written by Nicolas Sparks that will reach the hearts and souls of many readers across the world. The devotions of love, charity and unselfishness in this novel can reach anyone from any race or religion. I love the way he develops his characters and unveils their innermost personalities (even if they are not main characters). After reading this novel, I was truly moved to contribute positively to society in some manor. Although I still believe "Message in a Bottle" was his best novel so far, this one comes in a close second. I am looking forward to his next novel!

Summary: Not Worth Your Time Or Money
Review: I enjoyed The Notebook by Mr.Sparks and was thrilled to see the release of his latest work. I headed over to the bookstore quickly to pick up a copy, but was taken aback by the size of the novel. Of course Mr.Sparks isnt known for his 'lengthy' novels, nor his ability to be a truly great literary writer. But I still bought the book anyways, in hopes that the plot would greatly outweigh the size. I was dead wrong. I had never been more sickened and blatantly depressed in my life...until after I read this novel! I pictured the the book to identify with the audience of Sparks genre...adults. But instead the book was based around two high school students. If I would have wanted to read a book like that, I surely would have gone to the teen romance aisle of the store! Also, this plot is just depressing. With so much bad in the world today, I was hoping that Sparks would put a refreshing ending onto the novel...something with a positive message and something that uplifts everyone. But I was wrong...I would have much rather read a novel with a happy ending, not this depressing excuse for a romance. I also feel like Sparks doesnt care what his readers think...to me it seems as if he is churning out anything, just to make a buck of us, the readers. Mr.Sparks is not a literary writer and his novels show that. Truly great authors have much diversity and are able to sustain themselves in writing many different types of novels...but Sparks has yet to deviate from the theme of the Notebook! And this is his third novel! I may be wrong, but this wasnt a romance novel at all...it was a poor attempt to make money. I might consider reading Mr.Sparks next novel...after it is in the library!

Summary: Nicholas Sparks has done it again!
Review: After reading both The Notebook and Message in a Bottle with such enthusiasm, I couldn't wait for A Walk in the Park. Sparks does a terrfic job of getting your full attention and keeping it til the very and at that point wanting more, more, more! It was a more touching story of first loves than the previous 2 that were deeply detailed with loves thoughts and actions. I can't wait for the next

Summary: Keeps well with how Sparks writes, yet a big moral surprise!
Review: I very much enjoyed reading Spark's most recent. It keeps well with what he has written previously, but what a big moral surprise for a best selling, secular book. It reads like a Christian novel. Is the author making a statement? I found myself asking "What will Americans think of this book?" (assuming, of course, that most American's are less interested in spiritual matters.)

Summary: It's reading that makes you feel good.
Review: The words flow from the page and bring warmth to your mind. Wonderfully written story about a boy and girl who find each other at the right time. The lessons that they learn from each other bring them into maturity and teach them about being a good person in life and what is truly important in life.

Summary: Disappointing -
Review: I read Mr. Sparks first two books and thought they were beautiful. I especially cried at the end of "The Notebook". I cried so hard, I couldn't see the words on the pages. "A Walk to Remember" was a real disappointment. Sounded so much like "Love Story." If this had been his first book, I don't think it would have been published. A few passages were good, but not many. Because of his other books, I knew how it would end. Hope his next is better.

Summary: Definitely not as good as Notebook and Message
Review: I loved the two previous books by Sparks and could not wait for this book to come out. As I was on page 80, I was still waiting for the magic of the story to hit me as the other two stories did already reading page 2. It never came. It was a nice story, but not what I expected from a writer who wrote such beautiful stories as Notebook and Message. I am definitely disappointed. Please Nicolas, we need more romance, this was more like a nice children's story.

Summary: Nick, where has your charm gone???
Review: I am a sucker for good romantic stories - however, A Walk to Remember is a disappointing third book by Sparks. The characters are shallow and the story is so predictable (if you have read the first two Sparks' novels). The lines are repeated time and time again to bring out the readers' emotions and none of the sentiments touched me deeply ... I'm sorry to say that the book was written to popularize tissue papers. Sparks tried to please the readers too much that he lost the charm that he had so deeply in "The Notebook". Please Nicholas, bring back your charm from "The Notebook" and stop trying to please the readers ... The Notebook is the best of his novels so far.
