Rating: Summary: Couldn't Put It Down! Review: Once again, Nicholas Sparks has won me over! The first book that I read of his, "Message In A Bottle" was just fantastic and this book, "A Walk To Remember" is just as good. Gives you that warm, loving feeling. Lots of romance! I can't wait to receive my copy of "The Notebook". Way to go Nicholas!
Rating: Summary: Couldn't put it down! Review: I reccommend this book to anyone! This book is both touching and humorous at times. I didn't think it was predictable at all. I couldn't put it down. I had to swallow past the lump in my throat when I got to the end. The story really makes you think about others that are different than you, and respect them. This was a great book, and I'm glad I bought it.
Rating: Summary: beautiful and heart warming Review: As a regular Sparks reader, I think Sparks is at his best in this book. It is easily read, heart warming and extremely beautiful. I will hardly wait for his next work. Mr. Sparks, please keep up the good work!
Rating: Summary: you will enjoy this love Review: This is a great love story and a fun read. Go straight from here to a book search and check out another great book right here at amazon.com book search author Joel Rothschild that should send you on the a read you'll never forget.....
Rating: Summary: A good read of young love during a bygone era. Review: A fast read, reasonably good but with little depth. Sweet, Funny, Sad, and Predictable come to mind to describe the story and most of the characters. What it does do, is allow the reader who lived during the 1950's to recollect what young love was about then as opposed to what it is perceived to be now. Clearly a reasonable value at the retail level, and a bargain thanks to the Internet.
Rating: Summary: Sparks' best book to date! Review: I was unmoved by Message in a Bottle, which was a big disappointment because The Notebook left me weeping so much that my dad thought there had been a death in the family! A Walk to Remember definitely pulls at your heartstrings and is designed to make you cry, but more than that, Sparks really seems to have come into his own as a writer with this book. He does a magnificent job of capturing the voice of a 17-year-old boy, and it's wonderful to see Landon's growth as a human being as a result of his relationship with Jamie. Of course, I cried like an idiot reading the last few chapters, but this book is more than simply a sentamental tear jerker. It's a beautiful story of first love, innocence, and growing up.
Rating: Summary: TAKE THE TIME TO READ THIS! Review: This book was the best one that I have read in quite a while...one that I just could not put down until I was finished. And then, when I was finished, I felt disappointed that it was over. Once again, Nicholas Sparks has done a wonderful job and my only regret is that I have to wait for his next book.
Rating: Summary: Sparks' newest novel warmed my heart. Review: Sparks' characterizations are excellent. You feel as if you know each person. The story doesn't really get moving until the middle of the book, but it will keep you turning the pages. What really got me was the ending--HOW exactly DID it end? Did she die? When he said that "he hadn't told us the whole story and that miracles still happen", I got the impression that she lived. Can anyone share with me what they think? It is sort of a cliffhanger.
Rating: Summary: One of my favorite books of all time! Review: I loved this book! I have read Message in a Bottle and seen the movie several times. This book was so awesome and I loved how Sparks brought in the spiritual aspect and did it well. I have not read The Notebook yet, but intend to do so in the coming days! Keep them coming Nicholas Sparks! It is so cool to see a man who can write this way....I love it!
Rating: Summary: A powerfully moving story of uncondtional love Review: Wow! After watching Spark's movie "A Message in a Bottle", I decided to venture into reading one of his novels. I figured since a "A Walk to Remember" was his newest release I would start there. I read it in four hours! I simply could not put this book down! My stomach feels like I just got off a rollercoaster. You simply can't help but feel emotionally tied to the characters. Sparks is a very talented writer that has a special way of touching your heart. This book is a MUST read. Be forewarned, once you pick up this book, don't make any plans. It's not nice to stand people up!
