Rating: Summary: A Walk To Remember Review: This book hit home with me. It was funny, warm, heartbreaking, and tearful. As with all of Nicholas Sparks books I could not lay it down until I finished it.
Rating: Summary: Loved the notebook....walk to forget? Review: Sigh....looks like a late ditch effort to get a book out before the holidays to pay for the family boat. I loved 'The Notebook'. This pales in comparison. Believe me, borrow a copy from a friend if you're curious. Hope this is not a trend....
Rating: Summary: A Book to Remember Review: What a wonderful and compassionate novel! Once again Mr. Sparks, you have amazed me. The story line is very different from Mr. Sparks' other two novels, and yet, just as compelling. It reminds each of us about love and the importance of kindness to all. Anyone who is looking for a well-written and enjoyable novel, I strongly recommend A Walk to Remember.
Rating: Summary: A Walk To Remember Review: A very emotional and moving story of love, and dedication to ones hearts' feelings. Never once losing the feeling of the North Carolina settings.I could not contain my emotions. This is a very powerful story of a love tested and tried, but never weakened. I have not had emotions brought out from a book such as this in many years.
Rating: Summary: A Walk to Remember Review: I think this novel shows Nicholas Sparks' versatility as a writer. The diction he chooses to use (that of a 17 year old boy) demonstrates his ability to change his style while still capturing the readers' minds and hearts. Some other reviewers thought that this "new" style came across as immature or childish, but I feel that it makes the story different from the rest of his works by mixing the innocence and youthfulness of a boy with the hindsight and wisdom of a grown man.
Rating: Summary: WALK NOT MEMORABLE Review: AFTER READING MR. SPARKS 2 PREVIOUS BOOKS , I WAS ANXIOUSLY AWAITING THE DELIVERY OF " A WALK TO REMEMBER" WHICH I ORDERED SOLELY ON THE MERITS OF HIS FIRST TWO BOOKS. SADLY, I WAS VERY DISAPPOINTED. "A WALK...." IS SAPPY, PREDICTABLE AND SUITED MORE TO THE PRETEEN READER. NEVER AGAIN WILL I RUSH TO AN AUTHOR'S NEW WORK SO BLINDLY.
Rating: Summary: Definately a Book to Rememer Review: Nicholas Sparks' book, A Walk to Remember, was one of the best books I have ever read. From the very beginning the book pulls you in and you can't escape until the last sentence is read. Nicholas Sparks wrote this book so well that while you are reading, you feel like you know these characters. You are able to relate with every emotion the two characters have. When they laugh, you laugh, when they cry, you cry. I highly recommend "A Walk to Remember" to anyone who is looking for a touching romance that moves you so much that within the short duration of finishing it, you've emptied a box of tissues.
Rating: Summary: first true love Review: Nicholas Sparks has written another book that is enjoyable and nice. He doesn't rely on coarse language or graphic scenes to make the story. He doesn't need to, the stories stand on their own. In this particular one he explores the awkward world of teenage love and friendship. It is a beautiful story, about how a young man comes into his own and finds a wonderful love. As in The Notebook, the tale is bittersweet, but not as far fetched as Message in a Bottle was. This is a most enjoyable book to read and is well worth sharing with a friend.
Rating: Summary: Completely Captivating Review: This book had me from the beginning. I was unable to put it down and finished it in the same day. I thought it was one of the most beautifully written books I've ever read. It was sweet and sincere, I laughed and I cried. I must say though the ending left me wanting to ask the question, "did she or didn't she"? I was reading the last page to everyone in my house looking for opinions. Thanks for a great book Mr. Sparks, I can't wait for the next book!
Rating: Summary: Sweet, but not too deep Review: This book is very sweet but is predictable and superficial. A nice story, but don't look to this for any deep life lessons.
