Rating: Summary: Wonderful! Review: A Walk to Remember has to be one of the best books that I've ever read. I read it in only one sitting, I couldn't put it down. I want to believe that Jamie did make it, but I'm not so sure. I highly recommend this book to anyone. Nicholas Sparks, when will your next book be out?
Rating: Summary: AWESOME AND UPLIFTING! Review: I myself am not an avid reader, but after my sister in law gave me this book, you can be sure I cannot wait to read the notebook, and message in a bottle! Ater going through cancer myself last year, it once again made me realize how short life really can be, and to cherish every minute we have..The ending was so sad, but that is life, but it makes you again realize that we all could learn alot from Landon, and Jamie, and not to ever put someone down for their exterior looks, because if you look deep within, everyone has something special to offer us all!
Rating: Summary: Touching - so simple Review: I was so saddened by this book in a wonderful way. I think how simple life must have been when controlled by the heart - not computers, video games and so on. I think this was such a well written story that I felt the pain and yet also felt the dedication and committment that was in both hearts as they grew and experienced so many things. In a way it makes me feel I really missed out on something by not being a part of the slower paced people - before all of this modernism. I loved this book and because I read it will now try to slow down and totally enjoy, soak in and appreciate much more of what goes on around me.
Rating: Summary: Great Book! Review: I couldn't put this book down! I highly recommend having a box of Kleenex nearby when reading this.
Rating: Summary: Poignant and touching Review: This book was a choice experience that I would recommend to anyone. Seldom have I been so touched and warmed by a book. It portrays what life should be all about.
Rating: Summary: Unexpectedly disappointed.... Review: Having read The Notebook and Message in a Bottle, I was expecting Sparks to deliver another novel that would be equally captivating in storyline. A Walk to Remember was a big disappoint for me, in the sense that it ended so abruptly. The opening of the story was intriguing, but the last 30 pages seemed like an attempt to just quickly end the story. For that reason, it has left a taste of disappointment in my mouth.....
Rating: Summary: A Wonderful Story Review: A Walk to Remember is one of the best books I have read in a long time. It is such a touching love story. I don't think I have ever laughed and cried so hard all during the same story. I could feel Landon's love for Jamie and his grief at the thought of losing her. However, he transforms that grief into unending love. I would definately recommend this book to everyone!
Rating: Summary: The Best Book Ive ever read! Review: I read this excpecting it to be just another book with the trite boy meets girl story line. Boy was i surprised. once i opened it i could not put it down and read it all in one night. As promised, i laughed throughout the book and eventually had tears streaming down my face! i could not stop crying for hours afterward! i raved so much about this magnificent work that my entire family read it within a week after!
Rating: Summary: Amazingly Great Book Review: My mom bought this book for me as a Christmas present. She had read Message in a Bottle, and loved it. So I was expecting a good book. But this book exceeded my expectations. It was excellent. Maybe I enjoyed it so much because I am almost 17 myself, and I can identify to being that age, even though it was set in the 1950's. But it was just one of those books that you can't put down. And I loved the ending. It is very ambiguous, and I know which ending I would love to believe and which one I am leaning towards, but still... it's sketchy because of the details. And I really haven't decided which one I completely support yet. Still, I would suggest this book to anyone, especially those who may be a little down on themselves. This book leaves you thinking, as well as truly making you thankful for what you have.
Rating: Summary: One of the most touching stories ever written... Review: In true nature of Nicholas Sparks, this story is very touching and heartfelt. It will make you laugh, it will make you mad, and it will make you cry. Most of all the twists and turns of the plot will surprise you. I recommend this book for any avid reader, young or old.
