Summary: A true to life love story
Review: If you cried when you read "Love Story" or saw the film, this too will bring tears to your eyes. The author takes you to that small town in South Carolina in the late 50s. You can almost see the leaves falling off the trees. A truly remarkable story about young first love that is so innocent and sweet it is almost syrupy. This is a book that young Christian adults can read as even though it is a love story it is definitely G-rated. If you are looking for something racy, then this is not it. But those who have read Sparks know this. This book left me feeling both melachony and mellow.

Summary: Thought Provoking
Review: The book is a MUST read! I am 13 years old and I enjoyed this book throughly. The love between the two characters is amazing. The way Landon sticks with her through her Cancer shows how much he really loves her. I laughed and I cried more that I have in any other book before.

Summary: Great Story
Review: I read this book in one sitting. It makes you want to keep reading until you discover the conclusion. If you enjoy Nicholas Sparks, this book will not let you down. My favorite Nicohlas Sparks book is The Notebook, but this book comes close. I would definitly reccommend this book.

Summary: Simply wonderful
Review: I've just finished reading this book last night and i knew i just had to write something here! I beg to disagree with one reader saying that the words used by Sparks in this novel are for 5th grade students and that this book isn't for mature people. First of all, the narrator is a 17 year old boy, enuf said...and i believe this book is very much for mature readers. It makes you realize plenty of things - things that mature people tend to take for granted. Reading this book made me realize that the people we tend to ignore, laugh and ridicule even, could just make the biggest difference in our lives. The ending was very clever. I think that Sparks wanted his readers to decide the ending for themselves. In my heart, I truly believe that Jamie lived (my apologies to those who haven't read the book yet). It was the miracle he was waiting to happen...I love Landon Carter's character..he's by far my favorite male char.! I used to think that nothing's gonna beat Wish You Were Here (by Christie Ridgeway) as my all-time favorite book, but Nicholas Sparks proved me wrong.

Summary: Takes You Back
Review: This novel will make you laugh and cry. I feel this book should be required reading for Jr. and Sr. high school. We might avoid another Columbine incident. Moral stories are wonderful for young and old alike. I especially liked this novel because it took me back to my high school days. I treasure those days. Some reviews found it a little corny, and yes in fact it was. But more importantly I found a lot of deep emotions in it.

Summary: Best Book I Ever Read

Summary: A Wonderful Read!
Review: A Walk to Remember is by far the best book I've read in a while. It moves quickly, as you watch a friendship, and romance bloom all at once. I enjoyed this book more than I did A Message in a Bottle. It was a great book!

Summary: By Far Spark's Best
Review: I have read all three of Nicholas Sparks novels & when I purchased this one I was a bit wary, even though I am a die hard romantic I found the previous two novels to be a bit on the sappy side as far as the leading man character. In "A Walk To Remember" I found the leading man very believable & although compassionate he still shows hints of being an more realistic individual. A great story that I will remember for a long, long time.

Summary: Spare us this sparks
Review: One of the editorial comments compared this book with A Prayer For Owen Meany. I am dumbfounded at the comparison - this book is almost smug in its unwritten assertion that it will evoke meaningful emotions from its readers. John Irving does elicit emotion because he gave some thought to what he was writing. I would be embarassed to be seen reading this book by anyone who reveres good fiction. I wasted my time on A Walk to Remember. I should have known after reading Message in a Bottle that Nicholas Sparks has given up the promise he showed in The Notebook.
