Summary: Disappointing
Review: The lack of substance in this book negated all "warm and fuzzy" feelings so typical of the author's other works. The characters were never developed enough to allow them to be believable. I generally find that authors make the best readers for audio books. Unfortunately, that was not the case with this one. If I weren't stuck with it, I would have returned this one after the first 10 minutes.

Summary: Almost better than the Notebook!
Review: What a great book! I believe every high school student should have to read this book. It's about the popular rich boy and a poor dorky preacher's daughter. At first the boy is embarrassed by his forced friendship with this girl, but eventually he sees what no one else sees, and begins to have a profound love and respect for this insightful young lady. And it's true! You will laugh, and you will most definately cry! But you should not go another day without having reading this book! It is abounding in moral values that today's youth is lacking. This is one to buy for the kids, as well as yourself!

Summary: "Unfailing Love--An Experience to Remember"
Review: If this book doesnt move you, if it doesnt shake the very core of your soul, you can't be moved or you may be dead inside. Nicholas Sparks has taken an ordinary story and transformed it into a rich, moving story of the heart. How can even the most hardened soul not wish they were Landon Carter? I found myself wanting to be him, to be half the man at 38 that he was at 17, to love like that...unconditionally ,no matter what the cost or the circumstances. To reach back into our childhood, to remember the stages of our lives, the joys and sorrows, the loves gained and lost, and then to find the one great love of your life...it is a great happiness and doesnt come around more than once in life. Landon found it and i found it again.Hear the music of your heart...read"A Walk to Remember".

Summary: very similar to Erich Segal's "Love Story"
Review: I have read all of Mr. Sparks' books. However, I must say that I am a bit disappointed about this book. Of course, I know that this story is intended to be a moving story of a young man's first love and how his first experience about love changes his life afterwards. It's quite a smooth read for me, and yes, it really was able to move me to tears in some parts. But as compared to Sparks' previous works, I think that it isn't as poignant a story like in "Notebook" and "Message in a Bottle". I hope that Mr. Sparks' next book can be better.

If you really like this story, I will then recommend you to read a even better version of a story with similar plots. It is Erich Segal's "Love Story" (written in 1988). I guess one reason why I didn't like "A Walk to Remember" as much as the other of Sparks' work is because I think Sparks can't exactly capture the essence of a teenager's heart. I think Sparks is better in writting about the feelings and emotions of an adult.

Summary: A Walk to Remember
Review: I bought this book for a trip I was taking to San Francisco, thinking that it would help pass the time on a long plane ride. Once I started this book I could not put it down. Nicholas Sparks paints a vivid picture that the reader can't help but be drawn into. An emotional attachment is created between the reader and the characters. I recommed this book to anyone who believes in love, and especially to those who have maybe lost faith in it's power.

Summary: An Easy Read but not an Extraordinary Write
Review: I loved Sparks' first two novels and that's the main reason for purchasing this one. I found this book to be a very easy read. However, it was almost too simple. I felt like I was reading something that may be on a middle-school reading list. The ending really leaves you wondering, but it is definitely my least favorite of Sparks' three books.

Summary: An Emotional Entrapment
Review: This story hit the laughter and the tears. I think everyone can relate to knowing people who have been on the outside of popularity looking in. This story showed the ups and downs of being well-known by others and showed that no matter what you statis in life we all have a lot to learn about human emotion and compassion.

Review: Please, when you are writing a review for a books, do not give the story away! People who are reading the reviews are trying to decide if they'd like to purchase and read the book. Please be careful!

Summary: A Walk to Rememeber Review
Review: A Walk to Remember, by Nicholas Sparks is an excellent book. If your the type of person that has a tough time staying interested in reading this is the book to change all of that around. From the beginning to the end this book keeps you turning the page curious as ever to figure out what is going to happen next. It really keeps you motivated. Another reason for you to read this selection would be that it really can relate to everyone's everyday life, in some way. As always, you have your "typical" popular kids and the one's (one, in this book) that are always being made fun of. I think a lot of the times people are just misunderstood, this happens to be the situation in A Walk to Remember. Whether you are a good reader or not, you could read this story in a short amount of time. It is a very easy read. The book isn't extremely short, but it is not extremely long either. I think that people of all ages could enjoy this book, with in reason. Jr. High kids might even be able to appreciate the lesson being taught in the story. I don't read very much, but I could easily start reading more often if every book I read was as good as this one.

Summary: Don"t Bother
Review: I think this book could have been written by any high school girl. Boring and predictable. Someone should tell him that a happy ending once in a while isn't a bad thing.
