Summary: Sappy and Sweet
Review: I have to say this about "A Walk to Remember": This book is cheesy, sappy, obvious, and totally predictable.

But I still loved it.

Call me a hopeless romantic, but this book is really wonderful. The story of Landon Carter and Jamie Sullivan reinforced the ideas (that I always believed): That young people can know what true love is if they put their minds to it. That love does not have to be complicated but can be simple and sweet. Love does not have to be (and really shouldn't be) about physical attraction. If you have postive experiences with another person that you love, those happy times will never leave you for the rest of your life, no matter what happens.

This book isn't for everyone, but if you don't mind a bit of sap in a sweet and simple romance then I recommend this for you.

Summary: Engaging, entertaining, even heart-wrenching, yet ...
Review: Having read Message In a Bottle, The Notebook, and A Bend In The Road, I can honestly say this was my least favorite. I was caught up in the story and I couldn't stop reading until I was near the end of the book. I could feel the emotions of the characters and I responded to their achievements and to their tribulations with my own feelings. It was an excellent story until the end. To put it bluntly, I thought the ending was "hokey." It was anticlimatic. Still, it is entertaining and worth a quick read.

Summary: A book to remember...
Review: I love this book! It made me laugh, smile, and cry. The way Landon transforms, and how he unknowingly falls in love with Jaime is amazing. This is the best love story that I have ever read because it is so innocent and sweet. It taught me about the power of love, and what true love really is. Hint: You should read the book before watching the movie. Whether, you are a hopeless romantic or not this book makes you want to fall in love. It also shows us that we should be thankful for what we have, live life to the fullest, and that sometimes our "miracles" are in disguise. Nicholas Sparks is a great author!

Summary: An Amazing Love Story
Review: Of all the love stories I have read, I have to acknowledge that this is the best one yet. It shows what love really is. That it is not about surrounding yourself with what you think is good for you, but about getting to know that one person that will touch you and change your life forever. That you should not live your life according to others, that you should live life according to you. That it is not about how much time you get to spend with the one you love, but how you use that time.

While reading this book you will find yourself in love with these characters. Jaime, very innocent and pure. Landon, very strong, but yet weak. Two very different people that find themselves tangled in a web of love. With these two, you will not only learn what love really is, but what it can be.

Summary: Better than the movie....
Review: I thought the movie was good until I read the book...I thought it was horrible how people picked on Jamie even though she was the sweetest and kindest person. I love, love, love the book!

Summary: Cuddle up for a cozy read...
Review: This is a charming little book you will want to cozy up with and devour in a single sitting. Goosebumps of humor and melancholy occur as you immerse yourself in this nostalgic essay. But, not to give anything away, three-quarters of the way through the "light bulb" goes off in your head and you'll find yourself detached from the finale as it goes through its predictable story-telling paces. Unfortunately, we have seen and read too many of this genre not to be jaded. Sparks, however, is a gifted storyteller with a wonderful ear for dialogue and a clever wit.

Summary: disgusting, revolting, and dumb
Review: When I bought this book, it was so bad I decided to throw it away. I do not recommend anybody to read this book except who think that there is such a thing as magic. Nicholas Sparks, the author, has written other books that are good. But this is his worst. I would rather read picture books about Sesame street, than read this disgusting, revolting and dumb book.

Summary: I Didn't Want It To End
Review: I purchased "A Walk To Remember" for my self by myself the day before the movie started playing. I couldn't wait till it was out on DVD.

I love the way Sparks wrote it so much that I read each chapter twice, before moving to the next. Sparks' writing already touched me when I read the prologue the first time. I couldn't help but do, as his words there said: "This is my story; I promise to leave nothing out. First you will smile, and then you will cry don't say you haven't been warned."

Landon and Jamie are so loveable only because Sparks created them. I could totally identify with them, especially Landon as the narrator. As the story goes on, I stop reading its not even 300 pages, and I've read more than half in a few hours. I want it to last longer. Then I read a chapter every week, just not to end as soon as it could.

Jamie was the girl I wish I could be, the perfect friend. And Landon the perfect boyfriend, he's so romantic, he did anything for Jamie. They lived so much love, like in a lifetime. Everyone was in love with everyone, them with each other, and I with them. It's really sad it's all a fantasy. Espeacially for me since I am too much of a dreamer. Like everything in life it was good while it lasted. True love never dies.

Read it, love it. It will take you where you've never been.
