Summary: A Walk to Remember
Review: The title of the book is A Walk to Remember. The author is Nicholas Sparks. My opinion about the book is: the story is sweet ,lovely, and a truly unforgettable story,"a story that reminds us that in life each of us may find one great love, the kind that changes everything". On a scale form 1-10 I would rate the book with a 10, because it is an incomparable story, it is about how love canbreak frontiers, it is a wonderful love story. The evidence that I have about the book is "There was a time when the world was sweeter...when the women of Beafort, North Carolina, wore dresses, and the men donned hats...when something happened to a seventeen-year-old boy that would change his life forever."-Nicholas Sparks. One remark about the author's style and voice is the way the author imagine this story is incomparable, it is so realistic. He also said "First you will smile, and then you will cry-do not say you have not been warned." This can happen to anyone. If you liked "Message in A Bottle" or "The Notebook", you will like this book. Katherine Maranon.

Summary: A Walk to Remember
Review: Preachy and predictable. This book is very religious and sends an over-simplified message of right and wrong. It separates the world into the righteous, religious types and the 'sinner' who see the light as soon as they give the "believers" a chance to reach to them. This is the type of message you take your kids to church for. They deserve better in literature.

Summary: Bittersweet
Review: Landon was an average boy in high school. Landon Carter was best friends with the most popular guy in school. He lived a good life, until one day in drama class he was picked as the lead in a school play. Landon never wanted to take the lead role but he had no choice. The nicest, sweetest girl in school, Jamie Sullivan, asked him to take part in the play...and although he did not know those features about her yet he chose to participate.
Jamie was not the normal, average girl. Jamie was special in many different ways. She was the daughter of the town's Baptist priest; she carried the bible around everywhere she went; she did not care about her outside appearance, she wore the same sweater everyday, wore her hair up everyday, she also helped everybody who needed help. Every month Jamie would go to an orphanage to help out, she would raise money for the children. These characteristics are what made Jamie stand out from all the rest of the children. One characteristic that stood out the most was that Jamie had been diagnosed with Leukemia, although nobody knew.
Jamie and Landon met while doing the play and they fell in love. Jamie finally told Landon, and the town about her illness. They had the sweetest love until, Jamie finally passed away. Before doing so Landon had proposed to her and they got married by her father. Landon loved her then and always will love her.
This book was a very romantic love story. One word to describe it would be "bittersweet". This novel was bittersweet because it was such a sweet love story but sometimes in the novel was bitter because it was so sad to see what happened to Jamie because she was the sweetest girl.

Summary: A Great Book
Review: A Walk To Remember by Nicholas Sparks follows Landon Carter, a seventeen-year-old boy living in the quiet town of Beaufort, North Carolina in 1958. He is considered dangerous and rebellious although he is actually not. Jamie Sullivan is the daughter of Hegbert, a widowed Baptist minister. She is a "goody two shoes" who is often made fun of. She takes care of stray animals and spends time at a local orphanage.
In Landon's senior year of high school, he decides to take drama because it is an easy class. However, he does not know that the drama class is expected to put on the senior play, The Christmas Angel, written by Hegbert Sullivan. Jamie will undoubtedly play the female lead in the show, but Landon is unexpectedly asked to play the male lead. He reluctantly agrees although he knows his friends will taunt him.
Finally, opening night of the play comes and the play is a hit. When Jamie first comes out in her angel costume, he thinks, for the first time, that she is beautiful. On Christmas Eve, Landon goes to the orphanage with Jamie and falls in love with her. Then, on Christmas, he brings her to his house for dinner. The next day, he kisses her for the first time.
Jamie begins to feel unusually tired but Landon dismissed the thought that anything could be wrong. He soon learns that he is wrong and that Jamie has leukemia. With Jamie getting worse by the day, Landon finally realizes what he needs to do to help himself and Jamie. Now, he asks Hegbert, and with his permission, he asks Jamie to marry him. She accepts and has a walk to remember while walking down the aisle, arm in arm with her father. Landon realizes how much he cares for her and thinks about how unexpected is that he fell in love with her in the first place.
I would strongly recommend A Walk To Remember because it is a very sweet, romantic story, which has a bittersweet ending. I think that many people can appreciate the emotional aspect of the story, but I don't think that the average male reader would enjoy it as much. I enjoyed this story and I think that others will too.

Summary: This book deserves to be called, "A Book To Remember!"
Review: This book was fantasticly superb. It's touching, sad, romantic and sweet. Every moment and scene that goes on within this story with "Jamie," the shy daughter of a strict minister and "Landon," the so-called "bad popular guy" at school will touch you straight to the heart with heartfelt sorrows. It's a story about true love that you won't ever forget. I really like the way Nicholas Sparks (the author) knows how to get your attention, having you in tears in no time. This is a must read book!

Summary: A Walk to Remember is a great book
Review: "A Walk to Remember," written by Nicholas Sparks, takes place in a small town during 1958. This love story is about a jock and a preacher's daughter falling in love. Nicholas Sparks is known for writing touching love stories that you'll remember forever. The popular jock, Landon, needs a date for homecoming and ends up taking Jaimie Sullivan. She is the preacher's daughter, goody two-shoes. He ends up falling in love with her, which was the last thing everyone thought would happen. If you like books that make you laugh and cry, then "A Walk to Remember" is for you. Personally, reading this book was a very enjoyable experience.

Summary: This book is fantastic!!!
Review: I absolutely fell in love with this book. A Walk to Remember is a book that draws you in chapter after chapter. I especially like the character Landon because it showed him growing up and learning more about himself. I felt that Nicholas Sparks really made the character, Jamie Sullivan, special. She was the perfect kind of girl to help Landon realize what he really was like. These two as a couple really made me love this book. Nicholas Sparks is a wonderful author, and I love his writing.

Summary: FANTASTIC!
Review: This book was one of the best romance novels I have ever read, it shows how kids can be so rude and cruel, even back in those days. Jamie, was such a loving girl and they way she says everything like in "the Lord's plan" it all comes together in the end why she is and says the things she says. I truly cried when i read this book. When writing a book its hard to make someone cry one moment and laugh the next and this book did all that over and over again!.
I only wish i could find more of Nicholas Sparks books, he is a fantastic writer with alot of talent!
If anyone could suggest anymore of his books please post it.
thank you

Summary: Not Enough Stars to Rate This One...
Review: This is, by far, the most beautiful book I have ever read. So beautiful, in fact, that I absolutely refuse to see the movie. It's that perfect in my mind. I don't want to mess with the images I have of the characters and the town. It's that eloquently written. An interesting thing about the book is it's up to you how the story ends; the author leaves it for you to determine. Either way you think the story ends, your only regret will be having to close the book and leave the world of Landon and Jamie behind...
