Rating: Summary: AWESOM!! Review: The Book was just as good as the movie. They were not that much alike but they were both the best. They are diffrent enough to both be the best.
Rating: Summary: When love turned things around Review: This book is about a boy named Landon, who is popular and claims that Jamie Sullivan is the last person that he will ever go out with. Jamie is a quiet young lady, who always is carrying around a bible, and who is the daughter of a widowed baptist minister. These two teens first get together at a homecoming dance, then love takes it away from there. Thats when Landon learns something about Jamie that could ruin his life. If you read this book, you will find out what happened that could ruin ruin their relationship, and how one of the teens could be in serious trouble.
Rating: Summary: Pure love at its best! Review: The film A Walk To Remember was recommended to me by a friend who said it was wonderful. I didnt think that she was truthful but decided to watch it anyway. It was a masterpiece, incredibly moving and made me cry. I enjoyed it so much i decided to buy the book. The book was even better than the film, so moving and the relationship of the two main characters made me realise that pure love does exist. I recommend this book to everyone! Truely moving and inspirational..it shows pure love at its best!
Rating: Summary: A Walk to Remember Review: I thought this was a great book. It made me laugh and it made me cry. It taught me a life long lesson. This book really relates to my life, not with Jamie having cancer but with seeing people for who they really are. I would suggest this book for anyone. From all the books I have ever read this would have to be my favorite. I have also seen the movie and that is my favorite movie, but i believe the book is much better, more in depth, and more powerful.
Rating: Summary: A can't put down book Review: I give this book 5 stars because I thought it was really good. It is deffently a book you can't put down or even stop wanting to feel tears in your eyes. This book is about a teenage girl named Jamie Silivan in her senior year at high school. Jamie is a very freindly girl and loves spending time with the orphans. She carries a bible around with her every where she goes. People make fun of Jamie behind her back. Then there's a teenage boy named Landon who is a popular one at school and also makes fun of Jamie. Well They both are in a play together. Landon Dosen't want to be in this play but Jamie helps with his lines. Landon falls i n love with her but then there's something else that falls right between their love. I would deffentily recomend this book to any girl and not so much a boy because its more of a love story than an action kind of book. It was really good. This book was wrote by Nicholas Sparks. Very good auotor. All of his books were awsome.
Rating: Summary: It will make you cry or come extremely close to it. Review: Having previously seen the movie and thinking it was really good I decided to get the book and read it. The book to put it bluntly was much more detailed about the relationship between Landon and Jamie and also about how Jamies secret affects Landon, her and their relationship (I am NOT giving any spoilers). I found that the final 40 pages of the book were probably the most sad and at the same time inspiring thing I have ever read. This is the only book that has almost made me cry for about 5 pages within the final part of the book. It truly is a great book and I think I will get more books by Mr Sparks he is a great writer and I finished this book in 1 day (a first for me since Firestarter by Stephen King).
Rating: Summary: Good Book Review: A Walk to Remember is truly a book worth remembering. The story is a heart-wrenching tale of teenage love and trial. The story helps us as readers to remember what it was like being a teenager in love, whether that was only a couple of years ago or centuries ago. It gives us a glimpse into the workings of the teenage mind and it helps us to learn how to deal with hard things in life. In this tale the main character Jamie Sullivan is dying of leukemia and only by maintaining her undying strength and faith does Jamie learn to overcome her trial but also she receives help in her courage from her true love Landon Carter. Landon is such a great asset to her and helps her in so many things that he too learns to have faith and strength. Coming to terms with the eventual death of his girlfriend is hard but teaches him and us, the reader, how to deal with things that life sends. This is truly a tale that inspires and teaches and even though the ending is not a fairy tale ending it still gives us as readers hope that we can endure not matter what.
Rating: Summary: Jamie's Review of A Walk To Remember Review: I loved this book. A Walk To Remember is an intriging book that made me cry and jump for joy at the same time. After reading this book i watched the movie, although it was a good movie it could not match the writing in the book. This book helped me to realize that being on top is not what high school is all about. I think all people should read this because it gives you persective on life!!! I recommend this book very highly to all ages!!!!!!!
Rating: Summary: A great find! Review: A Walk to Remember is a wonderful little book. Jamie Sullivan is a quiet loner, a teenage with few, if any friends. Along comes Landon Carter, the son of a congressman, and the most unlikely of partners for Jamie. However, through numerous twists of fate, and perhaps the power of prayer, Jamie and Landon come to find friendship and love in each other. Although I would wager to say that most men would find this book a little corny, I absolutely loved this story! It was sweet, easy to read, and entertaining. (The book was also ten times better than the movie, in case any of you are using that for comparison.) I highly recommend this book for a leisurely afternoon read.
Rating: Summary: One of the best books ever Review: This book is so wonderful! I saw the movie a couple times before reading the book and I really enjoyed it. And then a couple weeks ago at an airport I found the book and bought it right away. I had it finished two days later and it is simply one of the best books that I have ever read! Now I am very disappointed in the movie. I can't believe they had the nerve to make the movie but not even make it at all like the book. They are completely different and I would most definitely recommend the book over the movie anyday.
