Summary: A very good book to read about love!
Review: I liked when Landon and Jamie became friends. But when he acted like he wasn't friends with her around his own frinds, I thought that was rude. Landon has a life full of problems, but he learns to get pass them, which is is good. Jamie is a nice girl throughtout the whole book. She helps others and gives to charity. At Christmas time Landon does a really nice thing for the kids at the orphange. At the end of the book it becomes sad. Overall, this was a very good book. By far, the best I have ever read.

Summary: A Book You'll Always Remember
Review: A Walk To Remember is by far one of the best books I've ever read. As soon as I started reading, I fell in love with it. Nicholas Sparks does a wonderful job; he truly knows how to touch your heart.

This book starts out with a young man and woman who are complete opposites. Landon's a rebel and Jamie's a goody-goody. Landon says, "Jamie had never been on my social calendar, she wasn't exactly what I called attractive either." Throughout the story Landon and Jamie end up spending time together. Landon looks beyond Jamie's looks and sees that she is a wonderful person. They end up falling in love. We now find Landon and Jamie both saying, "I love you." to each other. It has a great tragic ending that will keep you reaching for the tissues all night long.

I'm not big into reading, but I found with this book, I had trouble putting it down. It has touched my heart in a special way that I won't soon forget. I encourage everyone to read this book. Sparks' story will remain in your heart forever.

Summary: Predictable
Review: I was very disappointed in this book considering how much I liked Sparks' A Message in a Bottle and The Notebook. The characters in A Walk to Remember were one dimensional. He didn't explore how his characters became the people they were. We assumed the minister was the way he was because his wife died in childbirth; but how did that affect how he raised his child, etc. Jamie's character is so flawed, uninteresting, and apparently soooooooooo nice that it's grating. I got through the book because I bet myself that Jamie's character would not be well (though it would have been interesting to see how far this kind of relationship would have gone). Definitely, not one of Sparks' best.

Summary: A Walk to Remember
Review: I read a walk to remember I thought that this book was good. If you like books with action and love going on then this is your kind of book. This book is about a high school girl named Jamie Sullivan and a boy named Landon Carter. Landon has known Jamie since kindergarten, but he has never really paid that much attention to her, because she was kind of like the dork at school. During his high school year Landon was the only boy without a date so he looked in the year book and found Jamie of course Jamie didn't get asked by anyone, so Landon asked her. After awhile they started to get close and Jamie asked Landon to come to a nursing home where Jamie had volunteered. They were having a Christmas party with all the residents so Jamie decided to ask Landon if he wanted to go with her, but Landon thought that was something that a geek would do, but later Jamie conned him into it. Later in the book they start to fall in love and then Jamie breaks the news to him that she was sick. Landon thought that it was just the kind of sickness where her tummy hurt and she needed to go home and talk a nap. Jamie explained to him that it wasn't the kind of sickness that he was thinking of. After awhile of staying in bed at her house Landon asked her to marry him and of course she said yes. They got married then after that summer was over up she went to heaven.

I thought that this book was good. I've seen the movie many times. Even though the movie is a little different from the book I still like them both. I think that the book was more interesting then the movie, because you got to see if from your own point of view. You could see and imagine pictures in your head, and you thought that might happen to you when you get married. It was a great book I give it 5 stars

Summary: Happy Endings Come in Many Forms
Review: A Walk to Remember is one of my favorite books. I don't usually like to read but I couldn't put this book down. An easy read, it never got boring. I also saw the movie but without a doubt the book was way better having more detail and depth.

A Walk to Remember is about two teenagers, Landon Carter and Jamie Sullivan. Now, Landon was your regular teenager but Jamie was not- she was a minister's daughter and liked to read the Bible and volunteer at an orphanage. She was also something of an outcast. Landon had to go to the school's homecoming dance but there was only one problem: he needed a date. He knew everyone had a date but Jamie and him, so he decided to ask her to the dance. They went to the dance and had a fairly good time and, as a result, they became friends. Landon began to feel something for her besides friendship and they fell in love with each other. Jamie had a secret though and that secret was that she was dying. When Landon finds out, he tries to make all of her dreams come true before she dies.

I recommend this book to anyone who likes love stories. It has a trajic ending but, at the same time, a good ending.
