Summary: A great Book, well written and very touching
Review: This was a great book, I couldn't put it down. It keeps you going and wondering what is going to happen next. The characters are well written and dictated very well. It was a very moving book and made me cry. I would recommend this book to a friend.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: touching,heart-warming,--could not put the book down
Review: As all of Nicholas Sparks books, this one is very moving. Once I started reading the book, I could not put it down. It was happy, sad, and happy. I can not wait until Nicholas Sparks comes out with another book!!

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: DONT PUT IT DOWN!
Review: I read A Walk to Remember in 2 hours, it is a fast read, not complicated by numerous characters, and will keep you going at 2am. I am not a big fan of love stories, but coming from Mr. Sparks, I will read anything he writes. I thought The Notebook was the best love story, and this one is right up there. A must read for anyone!

Summary: Worth The Wait...
Review: I am a huge fan of Nicholas Sparks and I have been waiting for this book for months. Once I read it I realized that his gift for storytelling has not been lost. Though there were parts in the beginning that made me think Landon was a selfish, self-absorbed unlikable creep, his relationship with Jamie and his complete growth as a person made the entire book worth those few pages. The prologue says Landon's is a story that will make you smile and make you cry and he's right...but you're still smiling when you put A Walk to Remember down. If you liked The Notebook, you'll love this one.

Rating: 3 stars
Summary: Not as good as the last two...
Review: Still worthy of sitting down and enjoying it in one, uninterrupted sitting, though. Unlike The Notebook or Message in a Bottle, the path is clear throughout the book. Not as long, not as well developed, but still an enjoyable escape.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Don't sit down without a big box o' tissues!
Review: Nicolas Sparks has the artistry of using words to paint emotions on paper. While his books are short, they contain within them the power to make you experience emotions in tandem with his characters. This is his best of the three! Can't wait for the next.

Summary: A novel to "REMEMBER"
Review: A WALK TO REMEMBER by author Nicholas Sparks stands alone when compared to the 2001 movie starring pop sensation Mandy Moore and ruggedly handsome Shane West, who grace this bestseller's cover.

A WALK... takes place in 1958. Landon Carter is a typical teen - shallow like his friends, yet meaning well all the same. He seems to fear the impending responsibilities adulthood will give him - he's responsibility-phobic, you could say. This fear of responsibility is the main reason he ends up stuck where he doesn't want to be, the school play. There, he better gets to know Jamie Sullivan, the epitome of a perfect little goody-two shoes.

Landon lives in a small, sleepy town where not much happens in terms of excitement and fun - crime rate is low. Still, all throughout the town, mostly everyone is church-going. And everyone knows that Jamie Sullivan is the minister's daughter. She fits her part of their religious two-member family - her mother died when she was young and her father has remained a single man ever since. Jamie totes a Bible wherever she goes, helps at the nearest orphanage, heals hurt animals, and takes care of her father. She lives a life none of her other classmates seem to live - or understand. Yet Jamie seems content and oblivious to their scorn, nonetheless.

Jamie's lifestyle makes her totally different from Landon and his gang. Though he has only dated 2 girls, he does suspect he loved one of them. And never in a million years did he expect Jamie Sullivan to be his third girlfriend. Somehow, she's opening his eyes and his heart, helping him to see the world for what it is. Thanks to Jamie's guidance, Landon will not take the earth he walks on for granted anymore. This new awakening has spawned another. Landon finds he is in love with Jamie.

Still, we wonder, will her deep and dark secret keep them from their true love, seemingly what fate wants for the two teenagers?

Who knows? Read and see for yourself.

Sparks' novel manages to find a comfortable balance within both sentimentality and humor without being mushy and overly sappy. His story of two teens in love who must face challenges in their relationship is sure to make you both laugh, cry, and question the strength required in relationships.

Summary: A Story to Tug on Your Heartstring
Review: This book was recomended to me by a close friend (who was still crying when she gave it to me by the way). "It's just the best book ever!" she said with tears running down her cheeks. I asked her what it was about. When she told me it was about a popular teenage boy falling in love with a nerdy girl, I thought to myself, "Oh great, this sounds like another one of those badly written teenage romance novels!" Still, I decided to read it. I took it home and that night. By the end of the first chapter, I was hooked. It is totally different from any book I have ever read! It is from the perspective of a 17 year old boy named Landon who must have had a GREAT sense of humor, because within that first chapter, I found myself laughing out lound by the little interesting thoughts of his added into the story (who would have guessed by the end I would be crying my brains out!) Landon finds himself falling for Jamie, the overly-perfect(not to mention over-religous, nice, and cheerful) minister's daughter. Landon finds himself as he falls into a deeper love than some people will ever know. By the way, the endng is REALLY good and gets you thinking. This novels pulls on your every emotion. I laughed, I cried! Sparks has outdine himself again!

Review: ANSWER THIS QUESTION
do you enjoy
A. reading books
B. watching movies better?
THOSE WHO ANSWERED A. read the book first, it was a GREAT book (though i watched the movie first so i didnt think it was the BEST)
THOSE WHO ANSWERED B. watch the movie first (as i did...not even knowing there was a book)

the movie was my favorite movie in the world. However, when i read the book, i was slightly dissapointed (so different)
its ur choice which you should watch/read first. I persononly LOVED the movie, i would suggest watching the movie first, becasue i know most people need a great love story that is different than the tyical predictable love story. if you enjoy the movie/book i would highly suggest reading SARAH DESSEN'S books. THE MOVIE AND BOOK WERE BOTH GREAT, GET THE BOTH, BUT BE SURE IN WHICH ONE YOU WANT TO LIKE MORE WHEN YOU CHOOSE WHICH TO WATCH/READ FIRST!

Summary: If you like the book, then you'll absolutely love the movie
Review: When I first bought the book, I thought, "oh, no! another boring, sappy teen romance." I couldn't have been more wrong. This book is a coming-of-age story of Landon Carter, a rebellous senior in high school, and Jamie Sullivan, the intelligent, God-fearing girl who everyone makes fun of. Landon slowly begins to fall in love with Jamie as he spends more time with her after having to star in the school drama and after she convinces him to help out at the orphanage. He slowly sees her transform in his mind from a sweet, innocent, old-fashioned girl who doesn't care what anything thinks about her to someone who has faith in him and whose energy and love astound him. Together, their love for each other helps them to battle obstacles that cross their paths. Landon's immaturity and rebellousness gradually fades as he realizes how much he needs and loves Jamie. A guaranteed tear-jerker that will make you wanting a Landon of your own. I also highly recommend the movie even you don't like the book. The movie is absolutely incredible.
